The Director will report to the Vice President of National Audio Investment and serves as a primary leader within the National Audio Investment Team. This role is responsible for the strategic vision and financial health of the audio portfolio. The Director takes ultimate ownership of agency relationships, marketplace positioning, and the long-term growth of APEX solutions. You will be expected to drive innovation, enforce operational excellence across activation teams, and act as a high-level consultant for both internal stakeholders and external partners.
Responsibilities
Developing Talent
- Leadership & Coaching: Take full ownership of the professional trajectory of ADs and Supervisors, ensuring coaching and training are aligned with long-term career goals.
- Strategic Alignment: Ensure that departmental goals, technical capabilities, and overarching priorities are clearly communicated to and understood by all activation teams.
- Connectivity: Establish and maintain a routine dialogue and operational cadence with cross-channel counterparts to break down silos and improve integrated buying strategies.
Partnerships & Marketplace
- High-Level Relationship Management: Develop and sustain premier partner relationships; identify and vet new marketplace prospects that align with client growth.
- Negotiation Support: Lead the strategy behind negotiations by conducting deep market research, analyzing demand pipelines, and engaging with agency leadership.
- Market Authority: Act as a best-in-class presenter to agencies, clients, and cross-channel teams regarding evolving marketplace trends and the full suite of APEX capabilities.
- Escalation Mastery: Serve as the definitive lead for serious campaign or partner issues, providing "always-on" support and resolution for the broader activation team.
Client & Business Growth
- Agency Stewardship: Demonstrate total ownership of agency relationships, actively soliciting feedback to drive improvements in service and capabilities.
- Operational Excellence: Identify best practices and improve workflow processes and communication protocols to increase team efficiency.
- Solution Ownership: Responsible for the business growth of specific solutions, including partnership ownership and pipeline management across the broader team.
Data Integrity & Hygiene: Lead the enforcement of Salesforce hygiene and tool usage across activation teams, ensuring data-driven decision-making is possible.
Qualifications
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in media investment, with a heavy emphasis on digital and audio landscapes.
- Proven leadership experience managing multi-level teams (ADs and Supervisors).
- Expert-level knowledge of Prisma, Salesforce, MBOX, and MS Office.
- Mastery of media financial acumen and a strong understanding of agency-side business finance.
- Exceptional communication skills with a track record of presenting to C-suite or senior-level agency stakeholders.

Compensation Range: $97,375.00 - $155,961.00 Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
