Who You Are
- A college junior, senior, or recent graduate (up to six months post-graduation)
- A student or recent graduate in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, Business, or a related field
- A strong communicator with an interest in storytelling, branding, and digital marketing
- Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Responsibilities
The Communications intern will primarily support the External Communications team at Razorfish, gaining hands-on experience in media relations, content development, event support, and brand storytelling.
This role will be focused on providing assistance in planning and research surrounding industry tentpole events, as well as day-to-day support in areas including press opportunities, speaking engagements, and thought leadership. Working within a fast-paced environment, the ideal candidate is eager to learn how a communications program enhances the agency’s brand visibility and reputation, while also fueling growth opportunities for marketing and business development, and nurturing current client relationships.
- Assist in the drafting of content including but not limited to press releases, media pitches, blogs, and LinkedIn posts.
- Support media monitoring and coverage reports.
- Help maintain and update media lists.
- Conduct research on industry trends surrounding tentpole events, journalist targets, and media opportunities.
- Assist in coordination with press and partners, while providing general administrative and program support to the External Communications team.
Qualifications
- Pursuing degree in Public Relations, Communications, or adjacent major
- Strong passion for the digital marketing and advertising industry
- Self-motivated with a strong willingness to learn
- Ability to adapt and work in a fast-paced environment
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize and accomplish tasks in a timely fashion

Compensation Range: $20.00/hour. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
