Overview
The VP, Project Management Director is a senior operational leader with clear ownership over how work is delivered at Saatchi & Saatchi NY. This role is responsible for defining the vision, structure, and standards for project management across the agency, and for evolving those systems to support both current business needs and future growth.
This role requires a leader with a strong point of view on what excellent, modern project management looks like—including the strategic use of AI, automation, and PM tooling—and the executive presence to champion that vision across the agency. The ideal candidate brings experience likely from multi-client agency environments, understands how to operate in ambiguity, and can meet the business where it is while steadily raising the bar.
The VP, Project Management Director will lead and grow a high-performing team of project managers and producers while establishing scalable, flexible operating models. As a central connector across account management, creative, strategy, production, resource management, and finance, this role drives alignment, accountability, and operational excellence through strong communication, influence, and leadership.
Responsibilities
• Own the end-to-end vision and execution of the project management function.
• Establish and evolve unified workflow standards.
• Act as a visible operational leader with executive presence.
• Ensure consistent, high-quality execution across campaigns.
• Serve as the primary operational partner to senior leadership.
• Lead disciplined budget forecasting and oversight.
• Improve financial performance through smarter resourcing.
• Identify and resolve resource conflicts early.
• Champion the adoption of AI and PM tooling.
• Provide mentorship and career development for PM talent.
Qualifications
• 15+ years of experience in project management or operations leadership.
• Prior Director-level (or above) experience required.
• Proven track record of owning and scaling PM functions.
• Experience in multi-client agency models, with domestic (US) based clients.
• Clear POV on modern PM and delivery models.
• Hands-on experience and enthusiasm around PM tools and AI-enabled solutions.
• Strong financial, communication, and leadership skills.

Compensation Range: $175,000-$200,000/annual. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
