Overview
As a Commerce Lead, you are the expert at Publicis Media in driving commerce-led growth across e-commerce, retail media and marketplaces. You will be part of the Performance organisation, reporting to the Head of Performance, and act as the senior specialist for commerce-related strategy, activation and optimisation.
You serve as a key point of expertise for clients’ e-commerce, sales and commercial teams, as well as internally towards Publicis Groupe. As a Commerce Lead, you are responsible for ensuring that our commerce initiatives are data-driven, commercially impactful and closely connected to clients’ business KPIs, with a strong focus on product data, feeds, retail media and marketplace performance.
Responsibilities
Examples of responsibilities as a Commerce Lead:
· Responsibility for developing and driving Publicis’ commerce offering, including e-commerce, retail media and marketplaces.
· Responsibility for ensuring that commerce strategies are aligned with clients’ business objectives, commercial priorities and performance KPIs.
· Responsibility for analysing and optimising on-site and off-site commerce performance, including product visibility, conversion, promotions, feed quality and retail SEO.
· Responsibility for product and SKU-level optimisation, ensuring that assortment, availability and performance data are used to drive growth.
· Responsibility for developing and maintaining partnerships with retail media platforms, marketplaces and commerce-related technology providers.
· Acting as a specialist advisor to clients and internal teams in commerce-related projects, pitches, more business and new business opportunities.
· Responsibility for spreading knowledge and best practices within commerce and retail media internally and externally.
Qualifications
To excel in this role, you must be capable of leading yourself and influencing others while being commercially minded, curious and analytical. Additionally, we are seeking someone who:
· Has extensive experience within e-commerce, retail media or commerce-driven performance marketing.
· Has strong knowledge of product data, feeds, marketplaces and how these impact visibility and sales.
· Is solution-oriented and service-minded, both internally and towards clients, with a strong commercial mindset.
· Has a robust drive for acquiring knowledge and building networks internally, with clients and within the commerce and retail media ecosystem.
· Maintains organisation and structure, delivering across multiple stakeholders while balancing short-term performance with long-term commercial growth.
· Is motivated by driving revenue impact, business growth and customer satisfaction.
