Overview
The Vice President, Audience Strategy will serve as a senior leader driving the vision, development, and execution of audience-first strategies across Publicis Media agencies. This role sits at the intersection of planning, activation, and data innovation, ensuring our clients benefit from advanced audience segmentation and proprietary data solutions.
As VP, you will:
- Define and champion the audience strategy roadmap for Canada, aligning with global initiatives and emerging technologies.
- Lead strategic conversations and collaborate with senior clients, positioning Publicis Media as a leader in data-driven marketing.
- Evolve and oversee the integration of audience solutions into planning and activation workflows, ensuring operational excellence and measurable impact.
- Collaborate with both local and global internal and external teams on proprietary data platforms, AI-driven systems, and centralized planning-to-buying solutions.
- Mentor and inspire a high-performing team, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Set the vision for audience strategy and data solutions, ensuring alignment with client objectives and global standards. Cascading communication across the different organizational disciplines that contribute to overall success.
- Client Engagement: Lead executive-level discussions on audience segmentation, our proprietary capabilities, data governance, and performance insights.
- Revenue Growth: Drive adoption of audience solutions to meet and exceed revenue targets. Working with client leads and Groupe Media Solutions lead on ongoing basis to consistently drive accountability, ultimately overseeing forecasting and pacing
- Innovation & Enablement: Partner with local and global technical and product teams to implement new tools, AI systems, and proprietary platforms. Support in preparing collateral and communication to articulate solutions to business teams and executive stakeholders.
- Thought Leadership: Represent Publicis Media in industry forums, pitches, and strategic partnerships.
- Team Development: Build and mentor a team of audience strategists; ensure knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 12+ years of progressive experience in media strategy, data-driven marketing, and digital transformation.
- Proven leadership in audience segmentation, programmatic, and social platforms.
- Strong executive presence with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Expertise in demand-side platforms, data governance, and privacy compliance.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex, multi-market initiatives.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.

Salary
Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is $120,000-$130,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
