Overview

Associate Directors, Brand & Experience Strategy at Razorfish are influential figures, transforming analysis into direction for brands, team members and clients. The Associate Director specializes in customer experience and serves as the subject matter expert on customer strategies, channel recommendations, content strategy, industry trends, service design, personalization and targeting to build meaningful interactions for brands. They will be responsible for leading and executing brand and experience strategy projects that drive profitable growth for the agency.

At this career stage, associate directors should be highly skilled in maintaining billable utilization, conducting in-depth industry and consumer audits, developing thought-leadership, and building relationships with clients.


Responsibilities

  • Lead digital strategy engagements with a strong focus on business analysis, strategic modeling, differentiated digital experiences, key digital capabilities and/or road mapping
  • Facilitate workshops and ideation sessions to identify key strategic challenge(s) as well as digital business and marketing needs to be addressed; evaluate scope of strategic engagement
  • Work cross-functionally with other strategy colleagues, client partners, discipline leads, and other internal partners
  • Present strategy output and recommendations to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Build and manage strong working relationships with decision-makers of the client organization and become a trusted advisor
  • Proactively seek out opportunities to deepen client relationships and "elevate the conversation" within client organizations
  • Create RFP responses and proposals, and take a leadership role in pitching new business
  • Develop thought leadership pieces for publication and/or business development
  • Build strategy team expertise by mentoring junior team members and offering training in relevant methodologies, techniques, frameworks, etc.
  • Proactively work to improve process for strategy engagements and team workflow
  • Translate primary and secondary research inputs into tangible opportunities and actionable recommendations around which Creative can ideate
  • Participate in scoping of projects
  • Develop 360 campaign briefs that outline how new initiatives and content will be experienced across multiple channels
  • Review creative to ensure project meets strategic objectives

Qualifications

  • 7+ years strategy, digital consulting, media and/or planning experience; 1+ year of leadership experience
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of current strategic planning best practices and how to use this knowledge to develop integrated cross-channel programs
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit, vision, and leadership to help facilitate change within a team and client’s organization
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; dynamic (persuasive) in presenting ideas to clients and prospective clients from VP to C-level
  • Adept at storytelling and able to simplify and clarify complex concepts
  • Must possess a rigorous analytical approach as well as abstract problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop strong client relationships and trust based on deep immersion into the client’s business
  • Must have a "change agent" attitude; constantly pushing us and our clients to new opportunities, approaches, ideas, perspectives, etc.
  • Must be able to articulate design concepts, strategies and recommendations clearly through exceptional oral and written communication skills; good presenter and great listener

Compensation Range: $106,780- $170,937 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
