Overview

The VP, Paid Social leads the paid social media thought leadership, planning and execution for their assigned client(s). The successful candidate will have at least 10 years of paid social media experience and is a data-driven and thoughtful decision maker who strives to foster an environment of welcomed creativity and learning for their team. The VP, Paid Social will be a main point of contact for the client and key partners, serving as a strategic team leader.


Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, direction, management and support to individuals within the team to ensure their work aligns with agency and client mission and goals
  • Design strategies for employing paid media on the primary social networks to deliver against brand objectives
  • Foster strong relationships with internal teams (e.g. analytics, planning), clients and key platforms
  • Develop action plans for achieving and measuring paid social media success, including setting key metrics, measurement and optimization strategies
  • Advocate the value of social media and help educate clients and internal teams on the latest developments and capabilities in this quickly evolving media channel; create thought leadership and recommendations based on the evolving landscape
  • Apply social media knowledge and creativity to brainstorming and strategy sessions
  • Provide team direction for improving campaign performance through optimization and/or implementing new features and strategies
  • Deliver presentations to both clients and internal teams showcasing strategy and performance
  • Develop points of view on new technologies, trends and opportunities in the social media marketplace

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in paid social media and marketing with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company, including client-facing responsibilities
  • 5+ years of team management experience
  • Experience in applying paid social to drive KPI’s against brand-building & direct response initiatives
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret campaign performance data and provide insights and optimization recommendations
  • Understanding of best practices for demonstrating social media for brand communication
  • Excellent relationship building, diplomacy, and decision making skills with the ability to think creatively
  • Proficiency in the primary social media ad accounts: Meta, TikTok, Pinterest, Reddit, Snapchat, X
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Compensation Range: $146,490 - $210,420 annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
