Overview
The Media & Ad Operations Supervisor is a senior, cross-functional leader responsible for the seamless execution of complex, large-scale media campaigns from strategy through activation, optimization, and reporting. This role sits at the intersection of media account management and ad operations, serving as the operational backbone of the account while partnering closely with Client Service, Media Strategy, Search, Social, Creative, Data, and Technology teams.
This individual brings a strong understanding of digital media activation and advertising technology, translating media strategy into an executable operational plan while ensuring flawless delivery, technical accuracy, and high-quality client service. The Supervisor plays a critical role in improving processes, mentoring teams, and supporting account and agency leadership to drive business results.
Responsibilities
Media & Ad Operations Execution
- Oversees the coordination and execution of media, creative, ad operations, and data across multiple channels and teams.
- Leads the operational execution of media plans, ensuring campaigns are delivered accurately, on time, and in line with strategy.
- Owns campaign QA, trafficking workflows and launch readiness
- Partners with Media Strategy to support measurement frameworks and ad ops plans tied to campaign objectives.
- Maintains ultimate responsibility for delivering high-quality, flawlessly executed campaigns.
Client Partnership & Account Management
- Serves as the primary day-to-day client contact for campaign operations and executional elements.
- Demonstrates a deep understanding of the client’s business and proactively pushes the team to deliver against key business goals.
- Supports internal and client-facing discussions related to timelines and execution.
- Brings forward ideas and operational solutions that extend beyond the original scope of work.
Team Leadership & Development
- Assigns and manages workload across Media Account Management and Ad Operations team members.
- Facilitates weekly operational and/or Ad Ops stand-up meetings.
- Leads onboarding, training, mentoring, and coaching to support team growth and continuous improvement.
- Monitors quality, accuracy, and timeliness of team deliverables and communications.
- Reviews and improves operational processes and documentation to drive efficiency and consistency.
Agency & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Consults with Account Leadership and functional partners to support account vision, strategy, and execution.
- Collaborates with peers across offices and regions to share best practices, POVs, and resources.
- Develops informed POVs on media operations, ad technology, and emerging platforms through research and collaboration.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, and ramping new team members.
- Implements and reinforces agency and departmental policies, including timesheets, vacation tracking, and team management standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year, accredited college or university.
- Strong background in digital media activation, ad operations, or media account management.
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-channel campaigns and operational workflows.
- Solid understanding of advertising technology, media platforms, and measurement approaches.
- Demonstrated people leadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior staff.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a fast-paced agency environment.

Compensation Range: $75,050 - 120,159. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
