Overview
Publicis Media’s Central Activation team supports Publicis Media accounts by building support and executing media campaigns via a global offshore delivery network to meet performance goals across a variety of channels. The Client Operations team within Central Activation works hand-in-hand with the agency accounts teams and clients to ensure the highest level of service and optimal processes and resource allocation, in order to deliver the expected results.
This Client Operations Director role will be dedicated to supporting one of the top PM clients. The Director will be responsible for the account management and maximizing the results of the engagement, with a focus on activation strategy, programmatic channel leadership, and the operational workflows between the client and the global activation teams. They will serve as an escalation point for the client, activation and internal teams and require a solutions-focused mindset and strong customer service skillset. The ideal candidate should have an extensive background in people management, programmatic campaign management within multiple DSPs, as well as experience of working directly with clients and agency teams.
Responsibilities
Develop Supervisor+ level talent providing direction, mentorship, and opportunities to grow their capabilities and responsibilities
Support agency teams to guide media guardrails and inclusion/exclusion policies to ensure compliance and quality (brand safety, viewability, site lists, etc.)
Own and design activation strategy by defining optimal setup, execution, and platform best practices across all programmatic buying platforms (platform feature testing framework and analysis, fee assessment, etc.)
Design and implement scalable operational processes and efficiencies for activation hubs to use in order to manage IO ingestion, campaign execution, launch/pacing, QA, reporting, etc.
Manage staffing decisions across offshore hubs, evaluating campaign-building efficiency and resource allocation
Drive strategy planning and onboarding for new tactics with an execution mindset (emerging channels and new partnerships) and
Partner closely with agency planning team to establish rate offerings for activation tactics and oversee avail forecasting
Define measurement and KPI frameworks including bid guidance and performance benchmarks
Oversee all client or agency facing collateral produced by internal or activation teams to ensure quality standards are met
Partner with internal teams - including Audience (segmentation), Data Operations (process automation), and Finance (billing and fee management) - to ensure seamless collaboration
Leverage internal teams to maintain and continuously improve operational documentation
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or higher in marketing, advertising, business, marketing, or equivalent
7-10+ years of experience in programmatic media with increasing levels of responsibility within an agency or media company, including client-facing responsibilities
3+ years of team management experience
Ability to strategically plan campaigns from audience determination, through how to best flight and execute campaigns to align with clients’ strategic goals and KPIs
Excellent written and verbal communication skills (PPT, visual storytelling necessary) allowing individual to explain how programmatic plans were developed, what they entail, and how they were executed
Deep understanding of the metrics of digital media and how they interrelate to be able to guide a team to effectively leverage those levers
Programmatic buying and DSP experience; comfortable planning/buying on DSP, working with 1st and 3rd party data
Working knowledge in technologies such as The Trade Desk, Google DV360, AAP
Excellent relationship building, diplomacy, and decision-making skills with the ability to think creatively
Vast understanding of the digital media landscape
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
