Overview

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Technical Lead to drive data-driven, personalized marketing experiences for our clients.

In this role, you will support the strategical execution and technical stewardship of marketing automation programs within SFMC. Working on multi-channel campaigns you will collaborate closely with campaign management teams, account teams, data teams, and creative teams to bring client campaigns to life through best-in-class automation and personalization.


Responsibilities

  1. SFMC Strategy & Client Delivery
  • Lead end-to-end SFMC technical strategy and activation for our clients.
  • Design customer journeys using Journey Builder to support marketing campaigns, lead nurture programs, product launches, loyalty initiatives, and retargeting.
  • Translate client marketing goals into scalable automation flows.
  1. Multi-Channel Campaign Execution
  • Build and deploy cross-channel campaigns using SFMC .
  • Drive advanced personalization using AMPScript, dynamic content, and data-driven decisioning.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure campaigns and automations align with client requirements.
  1. Technical Ownership & Platform Governance
  • Maintain and optimize platform architecture, automations, triggered sends, and API integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with global data/privacy regulations and advertising industry standards (GDPR, CCPA, CAN-SPAM).
  • Continual review and iteration of QA processes, deliverability best practices, and platform governance for all client work.
  1. Client & Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work with account managers and creative teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Advise clients on SFMC capabilities, best practices, and new feature adoption.
  • Provide mentorship to junior SFMC specialists and serve as a technical escalation point.

Qualifications

  • 5 + years in Marketing Automation and hands-on in Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Strong expertise in Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Email Studio, and Contact Builder.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience managing large advertising datasets.
  • Demonstrated success running multi-channel campaigns for consumer brands or agency clients.
  • Experience with AMPscript, SSJS, dynamic content, and email development.
  • Ability to translate complex data and technical concepts into actionable marketing insights.
  • Strong project management and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing presentation skills.
  • Creative problem solver with a passion for data-driven marketing.

Preferred

  • Experience within advertising agencies, digital media, or martech environments.
  • SFMC Certifications (Email Specialist, Administrator, Consultant).
  • Knowledge of DMPs, CDPs, or cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery).
