Overview
The Pub is looking for an expereinced and seasoned Studio QC manager to join their dynamic team. This position will be the go to resource and will maintain communicatin between the various teams.
Responsibilities
Streamline Workflows:
- Continuously look for ways to improve how the team operates: optimizing processes, removing inefficiencies, and making sure things run smoothly.
- Monitor team operations closely and step in when you see slowdowns or blockers: solving problems before they impact delivery timelines.
Support the Assistant Team:
- Be the go-to resource for our assistants. Help troubleshoot issues, answer questions, and make sure they have the tools and information they need to stay productive and confident in their work.
Improve Quality Control Processes:
- Collaborate with leads and IT to strengthen and streamline QC procedures so we consistently deliver high-quality work.
Facilitate Communication Across Teams:
- Help maintain strong communication between producers, team leads, and assistants. Ensure updates, feedback, and priorities flow clearly between all sides.
Plan and Coordinate Team Workloads:
- Work with leads to support scheduling, resourcing, keep an eye on deadlines and project milestones to make sure the right people are focused on the right tasks at the right time. Ensure an even distribution of tasks on a daily basis.
Collaborate on Smart AI Workflows:
- Partner with IT and technical teams to develop and roll out AI-powered tools and automations that help with backlogs, repetitive tasks, and technical troubleshooting and create a new pub motion database.
Own Brand Guidelines and Delivery Specs:
- Build and maintain clear, up-to-date brand "Bibles" for each brand — including visual standards, file specs, fonts and delivery requirements.
- Make sure the team (including freelancers and new hires) is trained on and consistently following these guidelines, even as they evolve so we can achieve consistency and quality control across our brands.
Reels:
- Update and manage all artist/department reels. Have an overview of all up to date current work going through the building and be in touch with artists/department leads to continuously keep reels fresh.
Qualifications
Proven experience in QC within a studio, post-production, broadcast, or a similar environment
Strong understanding of video and audio formats, codecs, color spaces, and file-based delivery workflows.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies.
Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
