Overview
PGD is looking for a Senior Art Director who can bring forward-thinking and bold, exquisite design to every part of the creative process—from early concepts all the way through to final delivery. You’ll work with a writer under the supervision of creative leads to build CRM campaigns that are on-brand, on-brief, and that command attention in millions of inboxes.
You’re an expert practitioner in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud, think in systems, and thrive on making things that are both beautiful and functional. You’re comfortable managing multiple projects at once, mentoring other creatives and overseeing their work, and bringing AI tools into your workflow without blinking. You’re curious, collaborative, and love pushing ideas.
Responsibilities
- Partner with a senior writer to concept and design CRM campaigns
- Use AI tools to boost your design process—whether that’s for image creation, new creative territories, quick wordsmithing, process documentation or just about anything
- Keep accessibility and responsiveness top of mind in your work. We are a mobile-first shop.
- Contribute ideas in brainstorms and create and shape the visual direction
- Present your work clearly and confidently—to your team and to clients
- Consider work holistically across campaigns and communications, with an eye for copy, content, design and a strong overarching narrative
- Help oversee work from junior creatives and manage the creative process
- Contribute to AI standards and processes that make the team faster and better
- Make yourself present and accessible to the team whether in-office or remote
Qualifications
- A killer portfolio that shows off strong conceptual skills, smart systems thinking and strong design chops
- 5-7+ years at an agency or design studio (bonus points if you've done CRM)
- Some motion design and storyboarding experience (doesn’t have to be Pixar-level)
- Mandatory experience with Figma design systems and Adobe Creative Cloud
- A good sense of how to keep brand guidelines tight—but not boring
- Clear, confident communication—you’re great at giving and getting feedback
- Comfortable using AI tools to speed things up or explore new ideas
- An eye for accessibility (WCAG 2.0+ standards)
- A working knowledge of how CRM/email gets built and deployed
- Ability to think proactively and independently, anticipating problems before they arise and solving them when they do
- Speed and efficiency to get the work done on time without sacrificing quality
- Uncompromising attention to pixel-level detail
- Ability to engage with and design according to extensive, rigorous systems, while also having the flexibility to provide bold new solutions to complement those systems
