Passionate, detail oriented, hands-on .NET Team Lead to own the design and delivery of cloud-native, event-driven microservices on AWS. You’ll split time between building and leading: writing C#/.NET code, enforcing standards like Clean Architecture/Clean Code/RESTful design, architecting solutions, evaluating and proposing new technologies—while also mentoring engineers, pairing, reviewing code, and setting engineering standards for testing, CI/CD, and observability. You should be able to make independent architecture and product decisions, manage trade-offs, and drive continuous improvement. Partner with product and platform teams and collaborate with front-end, data, devops engineers. Operate in an agile environment within a larger technology organization, owning quality across the SDLC and outcomes for your product domain.
Responsibilities
- Translate the Product Owner’s vision into pragmatic software designs and drive them through implementation to secure, observable, and scalable production releases using standard processes.
- Set and enforce engineering standards, patterns, and procedures across the team and enterprise (Clean Architecture, testing, security, observability).
- Lead delivery of RESTful and event-driven microservices, data stores (SQL/NoSQL), caching, and integrations; instrument services with logging and APM.
- Mentor engineers via design and code reviews, pairing, and feedback to ensure alignment with the target architecture.
- Evaluate and recommend third-party platforms/tools; design integrations and migration paths with vendors when appropriate.
- Author clear technical specs and architecture diagrams; present proposals to architects and technical leads.
- Partner with UX/Design and front-end engineers to align application architecture with user experience and non-functional requirements.
- Deliver performant, secure, maintainable, and scalable systems in production.

- Microservices & event-driven design: REST/gRPC APIs, messaging, outbox/saga patterns, idempotency, resilience (timeouts, retries, circuit breakers)
- Containers & orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes (Helm), image hardening, and Git-based CI/CD (branching strategies, releases, hotfixes)
- Relational data modeling & performance: schema design, indexing, query tuning, transactions (SQL Server/PostgreSQL)
- Testing strategy: unit, integration, contract, and load testing; designing for testability
- Observability & operations: logging, metrics, distributed tracing (OpenTelemetry), APM, debugging and performance tuning in production
- Caching, search, and messaging platforms (e.g., Redis, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch, Kafka/SNS/SQS)

Working knowledge of:
- Data engineering: ingestion, transformation, CDC/ETL, governance and compliance
- Modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks, Snowflake)
- Integrating AI/ML and LLM APIs into services and pipelines (production readiness, cost/latency/observability) MCP/A2A/Agentic flows
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s in CS or related field (or equivalent experience)
