Overview

The Media Director (Planning & Strategy) will lead all aspects of branding, public relations, and boost client visibility across various channels. Manage initiatives to improve brand image through various channels and develop perceptions among key groups. The ideal candidate has deep experience in brand strategy, crisis management, and narrative development, with a proven track record of influencing reputation and delivering measurable impact across channels.


Responsibilities

  • Lead integrated marketing, branding, and reputation management initiatives across traditional and digital channels (social, search, display, video, CTV, local TV).

  • Drive brand awareness and strengthen perception with key external audiences, including investors, policy makers, and local markets.

  • Oversee PR and crisis management strategies, ensuring proactive engagement and preparedness for reputation issues.

  • Develop and implement campaign strategies across CRM, owned, and paid channels to support customer acquisition, retention, and loyalty.

  • Partner with client interested parties to define strategy, steward execution, and identify growth opportunities.

  • Manage and mentor team members while fostering a collaborative, high-performing environment.


Qualifications

  • 7–9+ years of experience leading integrated digital and traditional branding campaigns, ideally in an agency

  • Proven expertise in branding, PR management, reputation management, and crisis communications.

  • Experience planning and activating awareness campaigns across both digital and traditional media.

  • Strong background in shaping brand narratives and influencing brand perception among policy makers, investors, and key market audiences.

  • Strategic problem solver with excellent communication, client management, and people leadership skills.

  • Comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations and dynamic environments.

Compensation Range: $119,510 - $163,500/annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met.
