Overview
We’re looking for a Junior UX Designer to help craft thoughtful, intuitive digital experiences that serve both user needs and business goals—primarily in the website and digital product space. You’ll collaborate with creative leads and cross-functional teams to design, and refine solutions that are strategically grounded and user-centered.
This is a hybrid role, requiring three days in-office each week.
Responsibilities
- Participate in self-learning opportunities/training through our network of subject matter experts.
- Works directly with internal team members to support experience design creation of compelling, insight-driven, digital experiences.
- Take direction from senior designers and complete tasks on time.
- Be receptive to and makes changes based on feedback quickly.
- Support the maintenance of assets such as sitemaps, process flows and wireframes during implementation
- Assists with internal initiatives in a support manner.
- Stays focused, manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Support UX lead on projects at any phase (discovery, design, implementation
- Document current and future state experiences through the following XD artifacts: sitemaps, user/screen flows, wireframes, journey maps and personas.
- Actively collaborate in cross-disciplinary idea generation.
- Show focused, well-organized approach to XD artifacts relevant to project with an attention to detail.
- Articulate rationale for design decisions and approach effectively to internal team members.
- Understand how to push back and communicate constructively to team members on changes
- Assist in participatory design/user testing sessions and Information Architecture sessions
- Identify and document meaningful patterns from the user research, audit the findings; provide recommendations to leadership
- Assist in personas/segmentations based on research findings; integrate personas/segmentations with related deliverables such as opportunity maps and wireframes
- Prepare, conduct, and analyze behavioral in-context research events
- Find opportunities to build business value and improve the user experience
- Create wireframes, user journeys/flows, as needed
- Implement participatory requirements gathering sessions, participate in debrief sessions
- Collaborate avidly as part as a team - partake in brainstorming sessions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in interaction design, human-computer interaction, or industrial design preferred. Certification programs, workshops and/or bootcamps also considered.
- Practice of experience design demonstrated in complex UX/UI patterns for marketing platforms, retail oriented transactional or ecommerce experiences preferred
- Able to operate seamlessly within medium to large-sized teams
- Proficient at creating key XD artifacts within design thinking methodology
- Some knowledge of agile and waterfall methodologies, responsive web, atomic design and design systems.
- Some experience creating/enhancing Information Architecture to improve user experience, navigation and findability, manage content, and more
- Knowledge of Quantitative Research is a bonus but not necessary
- Ability to present internally to leadership and partners as needed
- Self-starter, able to learn quickly and adapt to the best approach to solve.
- Ability to direction and feedback with an open mind.
- Tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Keynote, Microsoft Office Suite, Sketch, Mural/Miro or similar

Compensation Range: $53,000 - $58,000. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. Temporary roles may also qualify for participation in our 401(k) plan after eligibility criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
