Overview
To turbocharge our community approach, we’re seeking an exceptional Social Strategist – Community Management who’s equal parts copywriter, strategist, and pop culture junkie. This role is laser-focused on opportunistic, off-feed community engagement, jumping into high-visibility conversations happening outside our owned channels. Think: real-time brand banter, trending topics, celebrity and influencer threads, and adjacent cultural moments that everyone’s talking about. You’ll be the one in the comments, not just strategizing, but hitting ‘send’ and sparking conversations in real time.
This is your chance to be the voice and mind behind real-time community management for major consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands, driving cultural relevance in the wild and shaping how brands show up in the broader social universe.
Responsibilities
- Own the Off-Feed: Actively write and post comments across social platforms, finding and creating opportunities to spark conversations in the wild. Use wit, charm, and authenticity wherever our audience lives online.
- Be the Culture Jacker: Live and breathe the internet. Spot viral moments/meme-worthy trends and personally get our brand in on the conversation before anyone else.
- Spot and Shape Trends: Use your “chronically online” instincts to track and act on what’s hot, what’s next, and what’s uniquely on-brand for us.
- Elevate the Brands in Pop Culture: Only engage (write and post) when it matters. Always on-brand, always relevant, always moving the needle in pop culture.
- Drive Community Insights and Strategy: Listen deeply, analyze trends, and share what matters most, so our entire team stays at the cutting edge.
Qualifications
What we’re looking for:
- A 4-year degree and/or 2–4 years working in social media and/or communications, preferably with community management experience.
- A digital native with a knack for spotting the next big thing and explaining why it matters.
- Exceptional writing chops. Whether it’s a witty comment or a trend report, you know how to get people talking.
- Mastery of social platforms (TikTok, Instagram, etc.) and a pulse on the latest tools.
- A fearless collaborator who can manage up and across teams.
- Passion for culture, pop or otherwise, and a sixth sense for internet moments.
- Ability to write fluently in English and Spanish.
