GENERAL SUMMARY

We are looking for a Freelance Social Media Account Supervisor to work on the Lexus account who leads and oversees day-to-day client business, specifically working on social campaign integrations and content shoots for Lexus social channels, as well as oversight of cross-channel content planning and creative development. This Freelance Account Supervisor will support the senior team members in day-to-day client business management.

Additional responsibilities include collaborating with teams across the agency to ensure that social media content and strategy aligns with Lexus’ larger brand objectives. This role will also serve as a direct client liaison for Lexus social media marketing. Must be able to focus on the business needs of the client, seek and articulate agency perspective on recommended solutions that contribute to innovative ideas in support of the clients’ goals.

Responsibilities:

Client Management:

  • Understand the client’s business and products
  • Build rapport and credibility with clients at multiple levels to comfortably engage in frequent client contact
  • Continuously provide a clear line of communication between Lexus clients and agency teams
  • Field requests from clients to keep projects on track and on budget
  • Remain actively involved in day-to-day client initiatives, while building an understanding of social, the Lexus business and Lexus products
  • Supervise client social media initiatives, including, but not limited to, business-building, strategic, media and creative projects
  • Play an important role in presentations to clients, including project and quarterly planning, selling creative and integrated campaign initiatives
  • Provide guidance to clients, assisting them with any aspects of social marketing, be willing to engage clients on difficult issues
  • Update Management Supervisor and/or Account Director on status of projects and answering client inquires
  • Lead weekly client status and meeting recaps
  • Review all materials and confirm accuracy prior to client presentations and final production

Team Leadership:

  • Practice standard operating procedures within the department to engage with others professionally, efficiently, and profitably
  • Champion agency process to ensure quality of work
  • Become familiar with and adhere to agency financial and operating procedures and policy

Projects, Communication and Integration:

  • Lead organic social integration and support of Lexus brand campaigns, including model launches, reveals media and brand partnerships
  • Lead support for priority Lexus events, including content planning and onsite content creation
  • Oversight of day-to-day social media content planning and creative development in coordination with strategy, creatives, Social Media Manager and Social Content Manager
  • Define project parameters and client needs, collaborate with strategy & creative teams regarding project strategic direction, integration and brief development
  • Manage client expectations regarding timing, schedules, budget and process
  • Manage ongoing project communication with clients, including client meeting recaps, next step clarification, schedules, status updates and approvals
  • Account for project budgets and scope, in partnership with Social Content Manager
  • Responsible for project and ad hoc reporting and partnering with digital analytics and media teams when applicable
  • Oversee daily management and assist with long-term strategy for Lexus social media channels
  • Close collaboration with counterparts in other disciplines (event/lifestyle marketing, media, creative, campaign, etc.), championing Lexus social strategies and sharing social media best practices and relevant trends
  • Consult with appropriate stakeholders and subject-matter experts in the idea development process
  • Be at the forefront of the digital, social trends, social platform updates and competitive space

Experience: Minimum 5-7 years’ experience working in the social and digital marketing space. Experience managing day-to-day oversight of a brand’s Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest and LinkedIn channels. Experience working in an ad agency, with influencers and paid social media management are a plus.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Candidate must demonstrate an incredibly high-level understanding of the entire digital and social media marketing landscape, including knowledge of trends and emerging platforms, campaign administration, eporting tools and social media advertising products.
  • Must be capable of working as part of an integrated team while also maintaining individual priorities and managing multiple projects.
  • Strong account management skills required
