Director, Communications Strategy

Infinite Roar is a full-service, brand-building, modern media powerhouse, seamlessly combining the agility and personalized attention of a boutique agency with the unrivaled resources and expertise of a global leader.

Fiercely devoted to partnering with ambitious brands driven by an insatiable hunger for growth, we harness the immense power of the Publicis Media Network to drive better outcomes overnight.

At Infinite Roar, we’re driven by the exhilaration of the hunt and the triumph of the catch, all the while serving as faithful guardians of your brand.

We looking for a Director of Communications Strategy to strengthen the connective tissue between the business, creative, and media strategies for one of the world’s most trusted Financial Services brands.

A leader and a collaborator. An analyst and a visionary. An artist and a scientist. Is that a lot to ask of one person? You bet. But if you’re the right person, you’re up for the challenge. Communication Planners are students of human behavior and of the ever-evolving communications ecosystem and they are comfortable with the data that tells the story of both. We think about how a brand connects with real people in real life. We sit within a media agency but we think beyond media. Our job is to understand when, where, and how we can best motivate people to act in ways that are beneficial to our clients’ businesses; develop a clear strategy that leverages that understanding; communicate it clearly to our clients, colleagues, and marketplace partners; and then work with them all tirelessly to bring that strategy to life.

In this particular role, the US-based Communications Planning Director will have two specific responsibilities:

  1. Delivering Inputs: Assuring the continued input of US insight, tonality, cultural fit as creative development shifts more completely to our global Publicis team.
  2. Evaluating Outputs: Providing a holistic (creative+media) interpretation of US campaign performance results, and recommendations for both creative and media optimizations for current and future activations.

The successful candidate will:

  • Be the voice of the US consumer in the agency’s global creative development process, weighing in on creative discussions (not as the lead creative strategist, but as someone who can offer a US perspective to a global strategy/creative team.)
  • Drive local/global collaboration between creative strategy, media strategy, and data analytics teams as a central lynchpin between US client team, US media planning team, and the creative and biddable teams sitting in Zurich
  • Interpret and drive holistic discussion on social/programmatic performance based on globally provided reporting in order to more nimbly optimize creative, media, and audiences for current and future campaigns.

These behaviors will result in:

  • Creative that resonates even more strongly in the US market, due to the benefit of dedicated US strategic input into work.
  • Campaigns that drive better business results as they optimized based on creative as well as media interpretation of the performance data.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of communications strategy experience, working at the intersection of creative, media, and analytics, with a focus on using data to drive results across digital channels.
  • Strong analytical skills with hands-on experience using data and research to inform decisions.
  • A knack for simplifying the complex; translating data and insights into clear, compelling and actionable insights and narratives.
  • A collaborative and "can-do" attitude with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while juggling multiple projects, sometimes as a team and sometimes independently.
  • A passion for innovation and challenging the status quo with a positive, constructive approach.
  • Experience in using data and desk research to uncover and identify interesting and actionable human insights.
  • Intent curiosity, the ability to bring your own unique perspective and passions to bear to create a well-rounded team.
  • The flexibility to have a hypothesis and prove yourself wrong.
