Overview
Publicis Sapient is looking for a Quality Automation Engineer to support our teams in ensuring reliable and robust digital solutions. In this role, you'll contribute to test automation initiatives, focusing on API testing, and work closely with development and QA teams to build seamless and efficient testing processes.
Responsibilities
Your Impact
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for APIs and web applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective test cases.
- Execute automated tests, track defects, and support root cause analysis to ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain and improve existing automation frameworks and adapt them to evolving project needs.
- Support the integration of automated tests within CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing.
- Contribute to test plans, documentation, and reporting of automation results and quality metrics.
- Stay current with emerging trends in test automation, tools, and best practices.
Qualifications
Your Skills and Experience
- 2+ years of experience in automation testing with hands-on scripting skills.
- Proficient in Java or JavaScript, and using tools like Selenium and Cucumber for automation.
- Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman, Rest Assured, or SoapUI.
- Familiarity with API performance testing tools like JMeter or LoadRunner (preferred but not required).
- Basic understanding of DevOps practices and exposure to CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps).
- Experience working in Agile development environments and participating in sprint testing cycles.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and a passion for learning and growing in QA automation.
- Good communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in team environments.
Set Yourself Apart With:
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Knowledge of mobile test automation or cross-browser testing tools.
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git and test reporting tools like Allure or Extent Reports.
