PROGRAM DETAILS
Join us for a 10-week paid internship, in-person from June 9 to August 15. We're looking for individuals eager to dive into production and interested in a career in advertising.
What you'll experience:
- Real Projects: Start with actual client assignments to experience the production process firsthand.
- Snack & Shares: Participate in informal learning sessions to grasp the creative process and discover how each production discipline contributes to the final product.
- Intern Pitch Project: Get a taste of an authentic agency pitch scenario. You'll develop and hone vital skills such as teamwork, creative problem-solving, effective communication, and navigating the workflow, all while engaging with a real client.
Harbor is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Motion Design Intern to join our team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Responsibilities
- Creating design frames for animation concepts
- Animating and designing elements (GUI/FUI/HUD, typographic, graphics) to be used within projects in-house
- Utilize AI tools and traditional methods to execute the following duties: conceptualizing, storyboarding, style-framing, drawing, animating, and typography for multimedia projects such as broadcast titles, commercial and web ads, video signage, banners and content for mobile devices.
- Collaborate with the Creative Directors, and support all departments.
- Designing pitch treatments in InDesign, Google Slides or Readymag
Qualifications
- Strong portfolio of work showing an understanding of design principles and design-led creative thinking
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Animation experience with a good sense of rhythm & timing
- Ability to work efficiently, with excellent time-management and communication skills.
- Proficient in Adobe suite
- Some understanding and experience within a 3D package (Maya, Cinema 4D, and/or Houdini)
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Pluses:
- Traditional or digital painting, illustration, and/or sculpture
- Cel animation and writing experience
Required Minimum Education:
- Pursuing a degree in Design, VFX, or equivalent professional experience
