Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Video Surveillance & Access Control Engineer (Milestone XProtect & Lenel OnGuard) to support and enhance our client’s enterprise video surveillance and access control systems, with a primary focus on Milestone XProtect Video Management System (VMS) and Lenel OnGuard. This position plays a key role in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and innovation of security technology solutions in a critical infrastructure environment within the oil & gas industry.
Responsibilities
Your Impact:
Provide consulting and IT support for Milestone XProtect VMS, including camera setup, client software tools, and server infrastructure.
Conduct evaluations and testing of new video technologies (e.g., video analytics, license plate recognition, perimeter detection, system health monitoring), delivering proof-of-concept results and commissioning systems into production.
Manage the full asset lifecycle of the video infrastructure: firmware updates, software upgrades, and server configuration.
Drive implementation of new technologies and strategies to address business needs (e.g., onboarding new camera models, dual streaming video to third parties, or using video analytics for both security and process monitoring use cases).
Collaborate regularly with security department leaders to design and deploy solutions that enhance the company’s security capabilities.
Lead change management and user adoption efforts: provide training to security operators, coordinate user acceptance testing, and develop both technical and user-facing documentation.
Provide solution consulting and support for Lenel OnGuard access control systems, including its integration with Milestone VMS.
Configure badge readers, access panels, surveillance cameras, and network video recorders within the Lenel OnGuard platform.
Qualifications
Your Skills and Experience:
Hands-on experience with Milestone XProtect VMS, including configuration of field devices and integration tasks.
Experience integrating Milestone video systems with Lenel OnGuard
- Advanced English communication skills
Solid background in programming, database modeling, advanced SQL querying, database administration, and data analytics.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently.
Set Yourself Apart With:
- Familiarity with ServiceNow for incident and change management.
Understanding of Information Risk Management practices related to cybersecurity, IT compliance, and system reliability.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
