Job Summary

We are seeking a Director of Product Management to join our Product Team at Bamboo Insurance, a high-growth homeowners insurance company. The Director of Product Manager is responsible for the strategic development, management, and optimization of Homeowners insurance products with a focus on California. This role requires a seasoned leader with a deep understanding of the California regulatory environment, expertise in multi-peril risks, and a proven ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of strategic thinking, strong analytical skills, and hands-on experience in the California Homeowners insurance market and product implementation.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end product lifecycle for California Homeowners insurance, from ideation to market launch.
• Collaborate with technology, QA, compliance, actuarial, and underwriting to ensure successful and accurate product implementation.
• Partner with senior leadership to define the product vision and ensure alignment with broader organizational objectives.
• Own and manage the profit & loss for a carrier’s product line, including setting revenue, expense, and margin targets.
• Ensure all product initiatives comply with insurance regulations and proactively address changes in the regulatory landscape.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with external partners, including carrier partners, reinsurers, and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare and present detailed reports and updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.

Required Education And Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Mathematics or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of product management experience within the insurance industry
• Deep expertise in the California Homeowners insurance market and regulatory environment.
• Demonstrated success managing insurance products from concept to market.
• Experience presenting to large audiences, senior executives, and industry professionals.
• Experience managing a portfolio to targeted PML to premium ratios, loss ratios or any other internal targets.
• Experience evaluating reinsurance towers to support the overall profitability of the product and company.
• Hands-on experience with insurance systems implementation and UAT processes.

• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Travel: 30% Travel
• Work Environment: Remote and 30% travel
  
  

Salary: Starting at $190,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
