Senior Product Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Product Analyst to join our Product Team at a high-growth personal homeowners insurance company. As a Senior Product Analyst at Bamboo Insurance, you will play a pivotal role in developing innovative insurance products, designing coverage features, and driving data-informed product strategies. You will contribute to both the creation of new offerings and the enhancement of existing products to meet evolving market needs.

We are looking for an individual who not only excels at data analysis but also brings creativity and insight to form and coverage design. Ideal candidates have experience working with policy forms, endorsement, and insurance product development in a regulatory environment. This is an exciting opportunity for a product professional looking to make a significant impact in the property and casualty insurance industry.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with underwriting, product management, and compliance teams to design and modify insurance products based on market insights and data analytics.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers and legal team to create and update insurance forms, endorsements, and product manuals, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance
  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets using SQL and Python to support product initiatives for homeowners insurance.
  • Monitor the performance of insurance products by conducting in-depth data analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and insights that inform product decisions.
  • Develop dashboards and visualizations using Python libraries and SQL reporting tools.
  • Maintain documentation of product manual and form language revisions

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to effectively resolve complex situations and issues. Deals well with ambiguity.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead projects independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of insurance industry trends, regulations, and best practices.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of organizational prowess.

Required Education And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, data science, statistics, or related quantitative field.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in property and casualty insurance
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python).

Preferred Requirements

  • Prior experience working with homeowners insurance products and forms, especially in Texas and/or California

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Salary: Starting at $100,000 annually. Candidate's skills, experience and abilities will be taken into consideration for final offer.
