As a pivotal member of our legal team, you'll handle a diverse range of responsibilities, ensuring compliance and operational excellence. The ideal candidate embodies independence, proactivity, and a knack for multitasking. As the sole Paralegal supporting our in-house legal team comprised of three attorneys (including the General Counsel, Director of Compliance and Deal Counsel), you will also collaborate with the Finance and Investment Operations teams.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will bring expertise in corporate matters and transactional work, aligning seamlessly with our focus on innovation and efficiency within the blockchain ecosystem.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the review and preparation of various regulatory filings.
- Organize and maintain internal records of compliance and project documents, including regulatory filings.
- Assist with know-your-customer requests and information inquiries from third-party service providers and portfolio companies.
- Support the legal team in tracking and monitoring new laws, regulations, and industry developments.
- Implement processes and enhance operational efficiencies for transaction closings.
- Review, verify, and prepare investment and contractual documents for execution by Polychain's executive leadership team.
- Maintain and optimize the online filing system for all Polychain fund investment documents.
- Ensure the integrity of investment-related data within our company CRM (Salesforce).
Requirements:
- Our office is in downtown San Francisco, with a hybrid work model (in-office/remote); while preference is given to the San Francisco Bay area, it's not a requirement.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of relevant experience within a law firm or in-house legal team.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
- Effective collaboration and coordination skills in a team environment with multiple stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to changing and demanding deadlines.
- Diligent follow-up and adherence to task and deadline commitments.

Competitive Compensation: $70,000 - $100,000 annual salary (dependent on experience) plus eligibility for discretionary annual performance bonus.
