We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.
The credit PMM team is focused on driving GTM success for new and existing Credit products. We partner with product, partnerships and GTM teams to understand customer pain points, unlock new market opportunities and find ways to grow Plaid’s credit product portfolio. This team is responsible for building Plaid’s leadership in credit by crafting clear, differentiated messaging, enabling sales, and driving brand awareness through impactful marketing and thought leadership.
As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Credit, you’ll shape how Plaid shows up in the market across our credit solutions. You’ll bring a brand marketing mindset to a highly technical space—turning complex ideas into creative campaigns that move the industry forward. You’ll think holistically about how we show up across channels, partnerships, and communities to strengthen Plaid’s position as the trusted leader in open banking–powered credit innovation.
You’ll lead cross-functional efforts to deepen Plaid’s presence in the credit ecosystem—whether that’s designing what a risk advisory board should look like, building programs that connect us more deeply with lenders and partners, or crafting product and brand-level campaigns that inspire and educate. You’ll partner closely with product, growth/channel marketing, comms, design, and sales to develop integrated strategies that tell a cohesive story across audiences.
This is a highly creative and strategic role that blends storytelling, product marketing, and brand thinking to elevate how Plaid communicates the value and differentiation of its credit products to the world.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns that elevate Plaid’s brand in the credit space—spanning thought leadership, partner activations, and product storytelling.
  • Deepen Plaid’s presence in credit communities through partnerships, events, and content that position Plaid as a thought leader and trusted partner.
  • Collaborate with Product, Growth/Channel Marketing, Comms, and Design to translate Plaid’s credit product strategy into compelling narratives and creative assets that resonate across each target audience segment.
  • Drive partner and customer marketing initiatives that celebrate success stories, amplify ecosystem value, and strengthen relationships.
  • Use data and feedback to measure campaign effectiveness and refine strategies that grow awareness, engagement, and preference for Plaid’s credit solutions.
  • Develop compelling sales enablement materials tailored to the unique needs of different target customer segments
  • Serve as a creative thought leader within the team, pushing the boundaries of how Plaid tells its story through design, narrative, and brand experience.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience with 5+ years in product marketing or other strategic GTM role at a B2B software company. Credit/Lending experience strongly preferred.
  • Outstanding written, storytelling and visual communication skills – comfortable developing marketing and sales content that resonates with lenders.
  • Exceptional ability to conceptualize and execute integrated marketing campaigns
  • Desire to engage deeply with cross-functional partners across Revenue, Marketing, Product, Design, Engineering – and build an in-depth understanding of how our solutions work and deliver customers value.
  • Strong presence and verbal communicator
Our mission at Plaid is to unlock financial freedom for everyone. To support that mission, we seek to build a diverse team of driven individuals who care deeply about making the financial ecosystem more equitable. We recognize that strong qualifications can come from both prior work experiences and lived experiences.
