The salary range for this role, based in New York, is $107,360.00 to $134,200.00. The range may vary if the role outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Position Summary
The Brand Manager will be responsible for supporting strategic and brand plan development/ implementation and innovation launch plan development and monitoring for Jameson. He/she will exhibit a general manager mindset and will be responsible for leading breakthrough projects that will aim to achieve two critical goals; a) build brand equity and, b) drive brand performance through long term profitable growth.
This exciting role requires a dynamic and highly organized Brand Manager who has strong marketing experience including strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, the ability to manage multiple workstreams independently, is consumer centric and can balance thinking strategically with the key execution priorities on the business, including but not limited to the following:
- Strategic Planning: Work with Senior Brand Manager to own and deliver the annual strategic planning process. Lead the development of breakthrough consumer centric programs.
- Partner with agencies and cross functional teams to drive the communication strategy and bring to life consumer engagement plans, retail programs, and develop platforms/executions that maximize business results.
- Collaboration & Integration: Lead a cross functional working team, which includes but is not limited to the global brand co. (GOLD), consumer connections & experiences trade and field marketing, sales, consumer insights, legal and other business departments fostering and building a strong multi-functional team. Collaboration, alignment, and influence with multiple stakeholders is key.
- Analysis and Reporting: Lead the analysis and reporting of performance metrics, market and competitor trends and consumer data to craft compelling narratives that inform strategy and identify business opportunities and challenges, working with divisional sales and finance teams as necessary.
- Research: Perform analysis/construct research programs and derive implications to ensure marketing programs/expenditures meet KPIs. Consistently seek to improve the existing programming.
- Competitive Analysis and Implications: Assist with the development of the Strategic Brand Review by analyzing category opportunities, identifying key consumer targets, innovation opportunities, and activation strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as day-to-day general manager; develop brand Annual Operating Plan and Consumer Engagement Platform; Manage brand P&L, drive A&P spend guidelines.
- Support Brand Director and Senior Brand Manager in collaboration with the Content Hub to build brand content and communications. Own development of below the line on and off premise programming and asset creation, ensuring a cohesive through the line approach.
- Support the development of national programs/strategies with flexibility and local adaptation in mind; work with Innovation Hub on supporting brand innovation plans; deliver brand digital strategy/media engagement plans.
- Develop and execute culturally relevant strategies that resonate with diverse consumer segments, in partnership with the Cultural and Inclusive marketing team.
- Lead CRM, social media, and digital content strategies to drive consumer engagement and loyalty on relevant programs. Always-on tracking of traditional and digital media strategies / trends, demand territories and occasions, and brand perceptions.
- Lead projects and maintain project timelines, status trackers, and process documentation to ensure on time and flawless execution
- Support the development and execution of sports-related brand partnerships, programming, and activations, including integration with broader campaign platforms.
Requirements
- Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent); MBA or advanced degree preferable.
- Experience / Background: 5+ years of business experience, with experience in a senior level role in CPG, media agency or advertiser and working on the customer side.
- The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strategic thinking and operational rigor, with the ability to lead sports marketing initiatives, multicultural strategies, and digital consumer engagement programs. Experience managing culturally iconic brands preferred.
- Proven experience in project management and experience in managing and partnering with a broad set of stakeholders in matrix organization as well as external agency partners.
- Previous experience developing brand strategies grounded in insights and analytics. Showcases an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Must possess strong analytical skills to translate data into actionable insights and compelling stories across key business priorities. Managing financials and business performance including budget management.
- Ideal candidate will have previous experience developing and executing digital engagement strategies (CRM, social media, etc.) and sports marketing or sponsorship experience preferable.
- This position may travel up to 25% of the time.
