The salary range for this role, based in Fort Smith is $46,880.00 to $58,600.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.

Position Summary


We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented professional to oversee short-term supply chain operations, ensuring uninterrupted support for the Fort Smith production schedule. This role requires sound judgment, strategic thinking, and the ability to make well-informed decisions that align with both immediate priorities and long-term business goals. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, collaborates effectively across departments, and consistently delivers quality outcomes.

This position plays a critical role in maintaining optimal inventory levels, supporting production demands, and contributing to the overall efficiency and budgetary objectives of the Fort Smith facility.

Key Responsibilities

- Production Supply Coordination

  • Monitor the production schedule to ensure timely delivery of materials and supplies.
  • Coordinate shipments to external locations, including Point of Sale (POS), New to Market teams, and third party facilities.
  • Assist Quality Control in managing the return of defective or excess materials.

- Planning Tools & Technology

  • Learn and apply supply planning software to manage inventory, forecast needs, and align materials with production schedules.
  • Leverage data and reporting tools to support accurate decision-making and improve operational efficiency.

- Inventory Reconciliation & Optimization

  • Verify receipts against system inventory (E1) and resolve discrepancies in collaboration with Receiving and Production teams.
  • Support initiatives to reduce excess inventory and maintain lean supply levels.

- Management of Obsolete and Slow-Moving Inventory

  • Identify and track slow-moving or obsolete supplies through cross-functional coordination.
  • Analyze associated costs and assist in organizing proper disposal or destruction of such items.

- Bill of Materials (BOM) & Routing Maintenance

  • Maintain accurate BOM data for dry supplies used in production.
  • Contribute to system improvements, including conversion to super case codes.

- Standards & Compliance

  • Ensure full compliance with ISO and internal management standards.
  • Maintain and update work instructions as necessary; achieve zero non-compliance or hold points.

- Customer Service

  • Build and nurture long-term, value-driven relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Use feedback to develop solutions, resolve issues, and improve service delivery.

- Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S)

  • Actively support Pernod Ricard’s Safety Culture initiatives.
  • Follow all PPE and safety protocol requirements as outlined in procedures and work instructions.
  • Immediately report any incidents, near misses, or safety concerns to department leadership.
  • Contribute to the company’s goal of zero lost-time accidents.

Requirements

- Education

  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 4-year technical degree.

- Experience & Background

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

- Technical & Functional Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle (JD Edwards) ERP system.
  • Working knowledge of Advanced Planning Software tools.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), OHSAS 18001, and ISO 22000 (Food Safety) management systems.

  • Proven ability to produce high-quality products while maintaining cost-effective operations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Experience in identifying and reducing product safety risks and actively promoting good manufacturing practices (GMP).
