The salary range for this role, based in Kentucky is $90,560.00 to $113,200.00. The range will vary if outside of this location. Base salaries are determined during our interview process, by assessing a candidate’s experience, skills against internal peers and against the scope and responsibilities of the position.
Purpose of the Position
The Indirect Procurement Sr. Manager is responsible for the strategic procurement of a wide range of Travel Category and Business Services, ensuring the acquisition of goods and/or services at the best possible price and sustainable quality, while minimizing risk and adhering to the Global procurement strategy.
This role requires close collaboration with all business functions to meet their needs and co-develop procurement strategies. The Sr. Manager will lead major negotiations across the travel categories (Hotel, Air, Rail, Car) and Business Service categories (MRO, HR, Facilities, etc.) . This person will manage supplier relationships across travel, and Business Services
Main Tasks & Responsibilities
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for the Travel and Business services categories.
- Support including Professional Services, Administrative and Support Services, Information Technology Services, Facilities Management, Financial Services, Training and Development, Utilities and Energy, and Health and Wellness Services.
- Implement regional and local sourcing strategies while adhering to procurement policies & considering Global S&R objectives.
- Actively engage with regional and local business teams to ensure procurement strategies align with business needs and contribute directly to value creation.
- Lead major negotiations to secure the best possible terms, conditions, and aspects of supply agreements.
- Manage the negotiation process, including one-on-one negotiations and local/regional tenders.
- Prepare and issue timely contractual agreements in consultation with relevant departments.
- Act as the key interface with regional and local suppliers, building and maintaining strong, privileged relationships.
- Resolve supplier contractual issues and claims to optimize performance of the business.
- Actively collaborate with business functions to co-build procurement strategy and leverage skills complementarity.
- Establish, harmonize, and enforce procurement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure optimization and cost efficiency.
- Actively participate to the Pernod Ricard Procurement transformation: lead development and implementation of best practices, procurement tools, processes and delivery of the global initiatives.
- Reporting of key activities and issues such as governance, S&R savings, improvements achieved etc. as needed and/or requested by leadership.
- Identify and prioritize material cost savings and quality improvement opportunities within our existing vendor base along with potential new vendors.
- Identify and establish improvements to existing policies and procedures for effective category management across the assigned categories of spend.
- Establish and manage initial and on-going Vendor Qualification process for all new and existing vendors as well as work with Legal in the implementation and management of contracts in accordance with PR North America and PR Holding policies and guidelines.
- Establish/Enhance a Vendor Quality Assessment and Review Process.
- IAnalyze market trends including benchmarking to identify and recommend new opportunity areas and/or maintain a favorable position.
- Work collaboratively with Leadership teams to establish processes and procedures to enhance Pernod Ricard’s communal goals such as the development of a supplier diversity program and lowering carbon footprint.
- Be an active member of the procurement community, participating in the sharing of best practices and contributing to the improvement of various documents (benchmarks, guidelines, monitoring purchasing performance, etc.).
Main internal / external interactions on this position
Internal interactions include site leadership and their direct reports, and anyone who purchases a business service. External interactions include any third party that performs a business service.
Autonomy
- This person will have autonomy to develop the sourcing strategy for the Travel and Business Services category and execute on that strategy.
Indicators of success
- Generating cost savings including reduction, avoidance, and efficiency
- Successful tender events which improve cost and generate enhanced ways of working
- Supplier portfolio optimization where feasible, leveraging spend across sites where possible.
- 100% of Global S&R objectives reached
Required Experience & Skills
- Education:
- 4 Years College - Bachelor’s Degree
Experience/Background:
- Sourcing strategy and contract negotiations
- Stakeholder management
- Risk and project management
- Minimum six years demonstrated experience in supply chain, procurement, or business-related function with purchasing, procurement, or strategic sourcing engagement.
- Strong business acumen and understanding of Indirect Procurement spend in a Consumer Products / Beverage company.
- Demonstrated expertise in effectively engaging cross functionally.
- Good understanding of Wine and Spirits or related Consumer Products/Beverage important.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills with a proven record of measurable achievements.
- Strong business writing skills and clear communicator.
- Advanced level Excel and Power Point skills.
- Commercial acumen and ability to manage multiple projects to meet deadlines.
- Agile mindset and self-motivated.

Working Conditions:
Work is usually performed in an office setting, with limited demands for movement and lifting.
