As a Principal Full-Stack Developer, you will play a key role in designing and delivering the next generation of Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) Platform components on OCI. You will work across
Oracle Autonomous Database, Java microservices, UI, and cloud infrastructure layers to build scalable, reliable, and high-performing systems.

Qualifications:

Education

BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

4 or more years of software development experience, including 3 or more years in a senior or lead engineering role focused on database-centric and cloud-native applications.

Core Skills

  • Oracle Database 26ai: schema design, indexing, partitioning, PL/SQL development, query tuning, and performance optimization
  • Java: strong understanding of design principles, concurrency, and microservices architecture
  • Data modeling and storage design for large-scale distributed and/or IoT systems
  • Version control and CI/CD tools and practices
  • Cloud experience with major platforms (OCI preferred)
  • Modern UI development skills
  • Docker and Kubernetes: containerization and orchestration of Java and database-integrated workloads
  • Cloud networking and security fundamentals
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills across application and database layers.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in the IoT domain, especially device telemetry, data ingestion, or digital twin systems
  • Familiarity with Java 21 (or later) features
  • Experience building UIs with Oracle JET and MAUI aligned with Redwood UX; React/Preact and Functional Programming experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of Oracle Autonomous Database 26ai and Transactional Event Queues (TEQ)
  • Familiarity with data pipeline and streaming tools
  • Exposure to Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools for environment provisioning
  • Understanding of cloud data governance, encryption, and auditing practices

Principal Full-Stack Developer responsible for designing and delivering next-generation Oracle Internet of Things (IoT) Platform components on OCI, building scalable, reliable systems across Autonomous Database, Java microservices, UI, and cloud infrastructure.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  • Design and develop scalable, maintainable database-driven and microservice-based components for the Oracle IoT Platform on OCI, leveraging Java and Oracle Autonomous Database technologies.
  • Architect and optimize data models, schemas, and APIs to support high-throughput IoT data ingestion, storage, and analytics.
  • Develop and maintain Java microservices using modern frameworks, ensuring robust integration with OCI services and Oracle Autonomous Database.
  • Implement and optimize PL/SQL procedures, indexing strategies, and SQL queries for performance and scalability in multi-tenant environments.
  • Automate schema deployments, tenant provisioning, and database lifecycle operations to improve operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality, secure, and on-time software delivery.
  • Build and operate control-plane and data-plane components, with a focus on reliability, observability, and high availability.
  • Develop and enhance the frontend (UI) for the Oracle IoT Platform, focusing on improving user experience.
  • Perform code and SQL reviews, driving improvements in design, performance, and maintainability.
  • Leverage OCI cloud-native services and tooling to deliver resilient, containerized deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Stay current with advancements in Oracle Autonomous Database, Java, and OCI technologies to continuously improve system design and developer productivity
