Electrical Engineer - Power Systems Engineer
Role Summary
Join a team of exceptional engineers as a motivated Electrical Engineer and Technical Lead, driving solutions to complex, large-scale data center power challenges. You will lead technical programs spanning on-site power generation, battery energy storage systems (BESS), microgrids, advanced UPS architectures, and power system stability for HPC/AI data centers.
This role shapes executive decision-making, aligns cross-functional stakeholders, and sets the technical direction for power infrastructure, on-site generation, and energy storage across the fleet.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical
- 12+ years of experience in HV/MV infrastructure design, power systems engineering, on-site generation, BESS, and microgrids.
- 3+ years of experience with large-scale data center MV/LV distribution system.
- Experience designing large-scale facilities served by behind-the-meter (BTM), islanded on-site generation integrated with inverter-based resources such as BESS, supercapacitors, or similar technologies.
- Strong understanding of power system protection, relaying, and substation design/operation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of power quality and dynamic system behavior, with experience navigating utility requirements and grid compliance.
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior executives and align engineering, construction, and operations teams in highly complex environments
Preferred qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license
- Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems
- Experience designing and implementing protection & control (P&C) systems.
- Proficiency with advanced power simulation tools such as PSS/E, and PSCAD

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Key Responsibilities
- Own electrical outcomes for high-complexity, high-impact programs driving technical decisions, managing tradeoffs, and integrating input from multiple stakeholders.
- Provide electrical technical leadership to resolve critical power-related issues and reduce recurrence through root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Architect and support on-site generation systems (gas turbines, reciprocating engines), including fuel systems, emissions controls, and heat-recovery integration.
- Lead electrical discipline execution across design and delivery, optimizing scope, schedule, and quality, commissioning readiness; provide feedback to partner teams to improve standards and guidelines
- Partner with architects to develop future-state data center power architecture concepts and reference designs.
- Evaluate emerging generation and storage technologies, identifying the most practical and scalable paths to deployment.
- Lead the evaluation and adoption of new power technologies (e.g., fuel cells, advanced battery storage systems, microgrid controllers, solid-state transformers) and develop guidelines and standards
