Serve as Senior Corporate Counsel on Oracle Legal’s AI Legal, Regulatory & Governance team. Provide strategic counsel across Oracle’s lines of business to align with global AI regulations and governance, mitigate risk, and advance responsible innovation. Advise on AI-related regulatory topics, governance frameworks, Oracle’s AI policies and procedures, and legal matters spanning Oracle’s global AI operations. Our team works closely with Oracle’s line of-business product and development organizations to support regulatory activities and implement policies aligned with international standards and emerging AI regulations.
We are looking for self-motivated, collaborative professionals who want to make an impact as members of our legal team. We partner with Oracle stakeholders to help drive the growth and development of Oracle's AI initiatives, including generative AI, machine learning, and AI-powered cloud services, which constitute one of the broadest and most integrated suites of AI technologies in the industry. If you are legal counsel who is a self-starter, wants to work in a fast-paced, technology-driven business, and excel at finding creative solutions to complex and novel legal and regulatory topics, this position may be for you.
This is a remote position from within the US. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred qualifications:
- At least 8 years of relevant legal experience for Senior Corporate Counsel; candidates at Corporate Counsel (4+ years) level will also be considered. Background in AI, technology, or regulated industries (e.g., healthcare, finance) preferred.
- Demonstrated experience advising on AI laws and regulations, such as the EU AI Act, the Colorado AI Act, and other state/federal AI regulations, plus expertise in regulatory requirements and implementation strategies.
- Product counseling experience on AI products and services.
- Experience drafting policies and governance documents.
- Experience with intellectual property and data privacy laws and regulations as applied to AI products and services.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, quick-turnaround, collaborative, and dynamic team environment.
- Ability to independently manage workload and priorities.
- Admission to practice law in at least one U.S. state.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. - Provide legal advice to the organization. Close liaison to business in providing a variety of corporate and commercial legal services. Works closely with other lawyers throughout Oracle.
- Provide legal counsel with a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach on global AI regulations and responsible AI deployment across Oracle’s business units, including cloud infrastructure, applications, and industry solutions (e.g., finance, employment, healthcare).
- Monitor and interpret evolving AI laws and regulatory guidance; translate into clear, actionable business and technical requirements, and operationalize them through scalable processes and controls. Develop and implement AI regulatory and governance frameworks, policies, and compliance controls aligned with international standards and emerging regulations (e.g., ISO 42001, EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act).
- Advise on AI regulatory-related commercial matters, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms as needed.
- Demonstrate deep functional knowledge across a wide range of sub-disciplines within the individual’s specialty area(s) and communicates insights clearly to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrate subject-matter expertise and professional competence, providing clear, accurate, and pragmatic counsel with independent judgment on complex issues.
- Provide practical, solution-oriented legal guidance to senior leadership; evaluate alternatives quickly and communicate clearly in a fast-paced in-house environment.
- Perform additional related duties as needed in an all-hands-on-deck team environment.
