We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Manager/Technical Lead with deep expertise in Oracle Database preferably in financial or banking background with working experience in OCI, Golden Gate (Microservices). This role will be pivotal in ensuring the availability, performance, and reliability of our enterprise-class database environments, while providing strong technical leadership and proactive customer management for some of our most critical accounts.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $38.03 to $76.06 per hour; from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Key Responsibilities:
- Production Management & Operations
- Oversee day-to-day Run & Maintain activities for mission-critical customer environments.
- Ensure continuous database availability and optimal performance across all supported platforms.
- Manage incident response, lead root-cause analysis, and drive resolution of complex technical issues.
- Establish, monitor, and report on key operational metrics and service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Database & Golden Gate Expertise
- Design, implement, and administer high-availability database solutions using Oracle and related technologies.
- Lead the configuration, administration, and monitoring of Golden Gate microservices for data replication and integration.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and optimization for both database and replication environments.
- Develop and enforce best practices for database security, backup, recovery, performance issues, and data integrity.
- Technical Leadership
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex and critical technical issues.
- Guide and mentor team members in advanced database topics.
- Promote technical excellence, lead knowledge sharing, and ensure adherence to industry best practices.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align technical solutions with business and customer objectives.
- Customer Management
- Act as the technical lead and trusted advisor for key customers; maintain regular, proactive communication regarding ongoing operations, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with customer teams to plan and coordinate maintenance, upgrades, migrations, and other planned activities.
- Translate customer business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring smooth handovers and minimal impact on business operations.
- Participate in regular customer meetings, performance reviews, and planning sessions as a technical SME.
- AI Automation and Tooling
- Design, implement, and manage AI-powered automation and monitoring solutions to improve operational efficiency and incident response.
- Evaluate and integrate automation tools and frameworks in support of database and replication processes.
- Champion the adoption of AI and automation best practices within the team, driving continuous service improvement and innovation.
- Stay abreast of emerging AI technologies relevant to database management and recommend opportunities for operational enhancement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of experience in database administration, with a strong focus on Oracle technologies and preferably in banking or financial backgrounds.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Golden Gate (Microservices), including implementation, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Proven experience leading production support teams in high-availability, enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, incident & problem management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage customer relationships and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python) and automation frameworks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Fluency in English.
- Ability to travel up to 50% of the time to client site.
