As an Technical Alliances Consultant, you will help craft and execute strategies to drive customer adoption of Oracle Cloud solutions—including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS—through our partner community. Your technical acumen will drive discussions with partner leaders, solution architects, and individual contributors, positioning you as the subject matter expert and thought leader for Oracle Cloud. You will provide technical guidance to build solutions using best practices and proactively keep your partners’ Oracle Cloud practice operationally healthy. You possess partner-facing skills that give you the ability to represent Oracle Cloud in the partner community. Discussions with partner technical leadership will empower you to understand their business and operational needs and work closely with them to help position, implement, and optimize Oracle Cloud solutions.

Ultimately, your mission is to grow Oracle Cloud adoption and consumption through our partners and ensure their customers are satisfied with their use of Oracle Cloud solutions.

Overall Responsibilities
  • Act as the CEO, General Manager, and Franchise Owner for a specific geographic territory, driving the overall success of Oracle Cloud in your territory and supporting partners in that territory.
Partner Enablement
  • Be the voice of the partner—develop a comprehensive understanding of their business and technical objectives.
    • Serve as the technical point of contact and subject-matter-expert for all Oracle Cloud service offerings, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
    • Collaborate with your channels team to identify the top partner accounts in your territory and create and execute an enablement plan for those partners.
    • Work closely with your counterparts to identify, recruit, and onboard new Oracle Cloud partners into the Oracle Partner Network (OPN) Program.
    • Contribute to broad-base enablement activities that increase overall partner capabilities for Oracle Cloud.
    • Collaborate with your peers on best practices, key resources, and ways to help partners succeed.
Presales Activities

  • Monitor weekly pipeline reports and identify critical deals for your overall territory.
  • Align with individual sales teams to identify partner opportunities for Oracle Cloud solutions and help progress these to closure.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to partners, including solution design guidance and participation in customer meetings.
  • Educate partners on Oracle Cloud Technical Reference Architectures specific to customer business needs and use cases, including Oracle application deployments across IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Demonstrate Oracle Cloud capabilities such as user/group provisioning, creating roles, networking, compute, database, and SaaS integrations.
  • Work with the Oracle competitive team and advocate Oracle Cloud technical and business differentiators to customers, partners, and field teams.
Post sales Activities
  • Ensure customer solutions run successfully by working closely with extended Oracle technical teams, such as Solution Architects, CSMs, Product Management, Oracle Support, and Field Teams.
  • Align with Product Management and Solution Architect teams to understand new Oracle Cloud features and roadmap items, and proactively communicate these to partners.
  • Identify and provide early access to Oracle Cloud limited availability services as appropriate by working closely with internal teams.
  • Identify new customer wins and collaborate with partners on implementation plans, addressing any challenges.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $125,000 to $207,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 70/30 - 80/20.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Requirements
  • 8+ years of cloud solutions experience.
  • 5+ years in a technical field sales or technical alliance’s role.
  • Broad experience with cloud technologies, including Compute, Networking, Storage, Database, Security, SaaS applications, and associated management/monitoring tools.
  • Experience managing partner relationships, offering strategic IT advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to break down technical concepts into everyday language.
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
Preferred
  • Advanced technical degree.
  • Cloud certification or experience (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, GCP, SAP, Salesforce, etc).
