Role Overview

The Business Value Architect - Oracle Healthcare serves as Oracle’s senior business, financial, and outcomes authority for large, transformational healthcare, payer, and life sciences pursuits. This role operates alongside the Field CTO at the intersection of business strategy, financial modeling, industry economics, and enterprise transformation, shaping how Oracle’s full portfolio delivers measurable value and justifiable return on investment.

Acting as a trusted advisor to executive stakeholders (CEO, CFO, COO, CIO, CDO, CMIO, line-of-business leaders), the Business Value Architect brings deep fluency across Oracle’s healthcare, cloud, data, AI, and application portfolio - translating technical capability into economic impact, operational outcomes, and board-level value narratives that underpin One Oracle pursuits.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $141,800 to $232,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Value & Executive Alignment

  • Serve as the primary business and value sponsor for Oracle’s most strategic healthcare, payer, and life sciences pursuits, partnering closely with the Field CTO and Strategic Business Development to deliver a unified One Oracle strategy.
  • Constructs ROI, TCO, and value hypothesis assessments leveraged in executive-level discussions focused on business transformation, cost optimization, revenue enablement, risk reduction, and enterprise ROI.
  • Partner with customer executives to quantify and align Oracle solutions to measurable business outcomes, translating technology investments into hard-dollar cost savings, margin improvement, productivity gains, and accelerated time-to-value (e.g., improving revenue cycle performance by 3-7% unlocks $23M in incremental net revenue)

Large-Scale Pursuit & Deal Strategy

  • Act as the value and economics authority in transformational, multi-pillar deals, including complex RFPs, strategic pursuits, and outcome-based or value-based engagements.
  • Work closely with the Field CTO and Strategic Business Development to:
    • Define value hypotheses tied to executive personas
    • Quantify benefits across clinical, financial, operational, and research domains
    • Build compelling business cases, ROI models, and investment narratives
  • Collaborate with sales leadership and commercial teams to align deal structure, pricing models, risk-sharing frameworks, and phased investment approaches.
  • Support executive presentations, steering committees, and board-level discussions with clear, defensible value storytelling.

One Oracle Value Architecture & Portfolio Integration

  • Translate Oracle’s end-to-end portfolio into cohesive value architectures spanning:
    • Oracle Health clinical, operational, and population health solutions
    • Healthcare and Life Sciences AI & Data Platforms
    • Fusion Cloud Applications (ERP, SCM, HR, CX)
    • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
  • Ensure value propositions reinforce portfolio pull-through, eliminating siloed solution positioning.
  • Partner with sales, product, consulting, and finance teams to ensure consistent value articulation across pursuits, proposals, and executive engagements.

Industry Economics, Outcomes & Metrics

  • Lead definition of industry-specific KPIs and outcome metrics, including:
    • Cost of care and utilization reduction
    • Revenue cycle performance and cash acceleration
    • Workforce productivity and automation impact
    • Research velocity, evidence generation, and time-to-market
  • Design measurement frameworks that allow customers to track realized value post-implementation.
  • Support outcome-based contracting models and value realization roadmaps.

Ecosystem, Consulting & Co-Innovation Engagement

  • Partner with Oracle Consulting to shape co-design, joint innovation, and phased transformation programs tied to measurable business outcomes.
  • Work with GSIs, ISVs, and industry partners to integrate partner capabilities into holistic value propositions.
  • Participate in customer innovation sessions, value workshops, and executive briefings as a business transformation and value engineering leader, not a product specialist.

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in business transformation, value engineering, strategy, or enterprise advisory roles, preferably in healthcare, payer, or life sciences environments.
  • Proven experience operating at the executive and board level, building business cases and influencing large investment decisions.
  • Deep understanding of:
    • Healthcare provider and payer economics
    • Clinical, financial, and operational performance drivers
    • Life sciences research, real-world evidence, and commercialization models
  • Strong ability to translate technology-enabled change into financial and operational outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success supporting large, complex, cross-portfolio enterprise pursuits.

Preferred Experience

  • Prior experience with Oracle Healthcare, OCI, Fusion Applications, analytics, or AI platforms.
  • Background in management consulting, strategy, value engineering, business architecture, or enterprise transformation.
  • Experience structuring multi-year, multi-stakeholder investment cases.
  • Familiarity with outcome-based or value-based commercial models.
