The Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems organization delivers and sustains the technology platforms that enable Oracle’s physical protection programs across data centers, offices, and critical facilities. These platforms include access control, video management systems, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, visitor management, key management, biometrics, system health monitoring, and integrations to Security Operations Centers (SOCs) and enterprise IT.
Oracle is seeking a Senior Director of Physical Security Systems to lead execution, deployment, and lifecycle operations of the physical security technology stack. The role oversees standards implementation, program delivery, commissioning, and ongoing support, partnering closely with GPS Operations, Data Center Engineering/Construction, Corporate Real Estate, IT/Network, and third-party service providers. The successful candidate will lead a high-performing team of systems managers and program/project managers, ensure consistent system performance, and support the expansion of Oracle’s facilities portfolio, including hyperscale data centers and colocation sites.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $161,700 to $338,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Delivery, Operations, and Support
· Maintain and enforce physical security systems standards and reference designs across build, retrofit, and run operations.
· Provide oversight for portfolio delivery (upgrades, expansions, integrations, refreshes) and operational excellence.
· Establish KPI/OKR frameworks, SLAs, and service health reporting (availability, MTTR, alarm reduction, ticket trends); deliver monthly and quarterly analytics and executive briefings.
· Own capital and operating budgets; forecast, track, and manage variances.
· Lead alarm reduction and false-alarm elimination initiatives and ongoing system health checks.
· Direct lifecycle management programs (technology refresh, upgrades, health checks, spares, and EOL planning) to maintain reliability and scalability.
Team Leadership and Operating Model
· Lead, mentor, and develop systems managers and program/project managers; manage contracted resources to a consistent operating model.
· Drive a culture of safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
· Implement follow-the-sun support processes, escalation paths, and on-call rotations to ensure 24x7 resiliency for mission-critical environments.
Engineering Execution and Technical Support
· Oversee implementation standards for access control, video management systems, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, biometrics, key/lock solutions, visitor management, and SOC integrations.
· Oversee secure configuration baselines, network segmentation requirements, certificate management, patching, firmware updates, and hardening practices.
· Support software configuration for rules, workflows, identities/privileges, and alarm logic; provide advanced troubleshooting and escalation support.
· Coordinate site readiness assessments, commissioning, acceptance testing, and punch list closure.
Construction, Deployment, and Vendor Management
· Partner with Data Center Engineering/Construction and Corporate Real Estate on design reviews, specifications, and commissioning; ensure on-time, on-budget delivery of new sites and expansions.
· Provide program/project management oversight; conduct progress reviews and site walkthroughs; manage risk/issue logs to resolution.
· Lead strategic sourcing and vendor management for design, installation, and managed services; define performance metrics and conduct QBRs.
Stakeholder Engagement and Customer Service
· Serve as the senior point of escalation for Lines of Business, Data Center Operations, SOC leadership, and executive stakeholders.
· Provide advisory services on physical security systems deployment, operations, and continuous improvement, drive adherence to standards across regions.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Managerial/Leadership:
- 12–15+ years of experience in physical security systems with 7+ years in senior leadership roles overseeing multi-region programs in mission-critical environments (preferably data centers or critical infrastructure).
- Demonstrated success leading systems managers and program/project managers and managing large vendor ecosystems.
- Proven track record in portfolio/program management, budget ownership, and executive communications.
Technical:
- Extensive experience with enterprise physical security technologies, including access control, video management systems, surveillance cameras, intrusion detection, biometrics, key/lock management, visitor management, and SOC integrations.
- Strong knowledge of networks (LAN/WAN, VLANs, firewalls, VPN), Windows Server/Desktop, certificates, identity/role management, cybersecurity hardening, and system health monitoring.
- Hands-on experience with configuration, alarm logic tuning, and deploying systems at scale for SOC operations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, collaboration tools, and ticketing/ITSM systems.
- Preferred qualifications: a master’s in information technology, Computer Science, or another technical field.
