Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
You will be a key contributor in designing and implementing major pieces of the core database infrastructure for security.
You will design major core data-security products that work with replication, data high availability, and disaster recovery, implement database techniques and features to support service scalability, performance and stability. You will design core security products related to data access control, database privileges control, data encryption, and database authentication.
Additional Details
- MS/PhD degree in CS
- 10+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in security products development.
- Strong development experience with C or C++ is required
- Familiarity with information security concepts like authentication, OAuth2, IAM
- Knowledge of the security market and products is a plus.
- Familiarity with one or more of the following is a plus: SQL, PL/SQL, shell scripting, system programming, assembly language, and computer network.
- Exposure to Data Science concepts desirable
- Experience with Unix platform.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with Oracle database is a plus - Excellent problem solving skills
- Need to be a team player - Ability to rapidly learn and understand new tools & technology
- Ability to work independently and self motivating

Oracle Database Security Development Group is the core security group in Oracle. The team developed a variety of core security products in Oracle Database Kernel. We provide multi-cloud support for authentication in Oracle Cloud Database. Currently we support using OCI-IAM identity authenticate into Oracle Autonomous Database (ADB) directly and provides Single Sign On capability in OCI cloud across services along with natively in ADB. We also support Entra ID OAuth2 authentication integration with Oracle ADB and allow customers to use Entra ID identities directly authenticate into ADB. These products removed the barrier for customer from Entra ID log into Oracle Cloud ADB natively. We provide OAuth2 support which will allow more customers from other public Clouds to leverage the full power of Oracle Cloud Autonomous Databases.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in the definition and evolution of standard practices and procedures. Define specifications for significant new projects and specify, design and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with the developing, designing and debugging of software applications or operating systems.
Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others.
