Job Summary

The Senior Facility Manager of Operations is responsible for the leadership, management, and coordination of the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) as well as power plant operations for Oracle's data centers. This role ensures operational reliability, regulatory compliance, and proactive maintenance across all critical infrastructure systems, enabling the safe and uninterrupted delivery of data center services.

Key Responsibilities

MEP & Power Plant Operations:
Oversight of daily operations, maintenance, and performance of all MEP and on-site power generation/distribution equipment.

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance:
Develop, implement, and optimize maintenance programs in compliance with Oracle and manufacturer (OEM) standards to maximize system uptime and reliability.

Staff Leadership:
Lead, mentor, and coordinate a team of facility engineers, technicians, and contractors across shifts for 24/7 operational readiness.

Incident & Emergency Response:
Serve as primary escalation point for operational incidents, orchestrating rapid troubleshooting, response, and communication to prevent or minimize impact to IT load.

Energy Management:
Monitor and optimize energy utilization within the data center and associated power plants to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

Vendor Coordination:
Manage service providers and coordinate external maintenance, inspections, and repairs. Ensure vendor compliance with contractual and safety requirements.

Reporting & Compliance:
Maintain up-to-date records and documentation, prepare reports, and ensure alignment with safety, environmental, and regulatory guidelines.

Continuous Improvement:
Drive initiatives to improve reliability, resiliency, and sustainability of critical facilities infrastructure. Analyze trends and root causes to implement best practices.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field (or equivalent experience).
  • 7+ years of experience in data center facility operations with a focus on MEP and/or power plant systems, including at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
  • Deep technical understanding of critical infrastructure systems: electrical distribution, backup power (generators, UPS), HVAC, fire/life safety, and plumbing.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and crisis management skills.
  • Experience with building management systems (BMS), CMMS, and energy management tools.
  • Proven track record in vendor/inventory management and regulatory compliance.
  • Availability for 24/7 on-call escalation as required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certifications such as CFM, PMP, LEED, or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with large-scale data center or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience with sustainability and energy efficiency programs.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
