The Revenue Recognition Technical Program Office is a diverse and high-performing team of motivated professionals who apply deep technical accounting and finance expertise to help Oracle stakeholders structure and execute strategic customer transactions that maximize revenue while mitigating risk.
The team’s responsibilities include active participation in strategic contract reviews, technical accounting assessments of Oracle programs, and analysis of evolving regulatory developments. It also provides technical accounting advisory support to the Global Revenue Recognition organization.
As a member of this team, you will play a critical role in upholding Oracle’s fiduciary standards by ensuring that revenue is recognized in full compliance with U.S. GAAP (primarily ASC 606 and ASC 842) and in alignment with Oracle’s Revenue Recognition, Internal Controls, Finance & Accounting, and Business Practices policies.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Research and document the revenue recognition treatment of new Oracle programs and impact of regulatory changes, referencing relevant accounting literature and industry best practices.
- Analyze and present complex accounting issues and their financial and operational impacts (including internal control implications) to executives, external auditors, and cross-functional Oracle teams.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of developments in GAAP and other regulations affecting revenue recognition.
- Partner closely with business leaders from initial deal concept through final revenue recognition for strategic AI transactions.
- Assist in maintain and updating Oracle’s Revenue Recognition Policies and technical accounting memoranda.
- Advise the global revenue recognition team on complex accounting considerations in customer contracts.
- Collaborate with the GVP of Global Revenue Recognition, the CAO Office, external auditors, and sales management to ensure consistent application of policies and effective governance.
PERSONAL SKILLS:
- Proven background in Big 4 accounting or advisory, with strong exposure to complex accounting issues.
- Demonstrated revenue recognition management experience within a cloud services or organization.
- Strong technical accounting expertise, with the ability to interpret and apply accounting standards to complex and novel business scenarios.
- Skilled in researching, documenting, and presenting technical accounting conclusions to both accounting and non-accounting stakeholders.
- Exceptional influencing, communication, and persuasion skills across all organizational levels.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities, with sound professional judgment.
- Effective leadership and people management capabilities; a collaborative and supportive team player.
- Strong ability to prioritize multiple, competing tasks and maintain high attention to detail in a fast-paced, demanding environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- CPA or equivalent with a minimum of 9+ years revenue recognition and accounting US GAAP experience
- In depth knowledge of and significant experience in the application of ASC 606 to complex contracts required
- Working knowledge of ASC 842 preferred
- Business degree, masters or MBA qualification
