Job Description
SUMMARY: The Global Physical Security (GPS) Systems Team is responsible for deploying, maintaining, and continuously enhancing Oracle's physical security technology landscape. Oracle seeks a highly skilled Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems (WIDS) who will own the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise wireless detection, monitoring, and counter-surveillance solutions for a complex and global security environment. Reporting to the Director, Physical Security Products & Services, you will lead the technical roadmap, policies, education, and integrations necessary for WIDS excellence—partnering closely with security operations, engineering, data center operations, and end-user groups.
Responsibilities
Product & Program Ownership
- Own the lifecycle management, standards, and feature evolution for all Wireless Intrusion Detection Systems (WIDS), including integration with other physical security and monitoring systems (such as access control, fiber monitoring, alarm, analytics, and related toolsets).
- Develop and maintain WIDS and wireless analytics product roadmaps, prioritizing enhancements that improve scalability, detection capability, security, investigative effectiveness, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the central point for WIDS product feedback, performance metrics, evolving threat landscapes, and continual improvement.
Stakeholder Training & Enablement
- Design and deliver technical training, guidelines, and documentation for:
- Third-party security integration companies (for hardware installation, software configuration, troubleshooting, and best practice commissioning).
- Internal maintenance teams (for ongoing technical support, upgrades, system health, and escalation procedures).
- Physical Security Operations Center end-users (for live monitoring, event response workflows, and investigative use cases).
- Investigations teams (for data retrieval, unique identifier analytics, chain-of-custody, and best practices).
Governance & Compliance
- Develop, publish, and enforce WIDS standards, policies, and procedures aligned with corporate security, privacy, IT, and legal requirements (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, industry and regulatory best practices).
- Lead WIDS risk management and privacy reviews with Information Security, Legal, and Compliance, ensuring responsible detection program operation and defensible incident response.
- Stay abreast of industry standards and statutory/regulatory requirements affecting wireless network security and counter-surveillance, driving applicable updates into Oracle’s WIDS program documentation.
Program & Project Management
- Coordinate and manage WIDS installation, enhancement, and expansion initiatives across multiple global sites—ensuring scalable deployment and effective cross-team alignment.
- Act as escalation point for critical WIDS incidents, post-incident root cause analysis, ongoing optimization, and technical strategy adjustments.
- Partner with Global Physical Security, IT, data center, and cloud infrastructure design teams to ensure seamless WIDS and monitoring technology integration with evolving environments.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Serve as the bridge between engineering, vendors, security operations, installers, and business leaders to ensure WIDS solutions are technically robust, adaptive, cost-effective, and future-ready.
- Maintain a vendor management strategy to evaluate and select WIDS, wireless analytics, and supporting platforms, integrating with Oracle’s procurement and supply chain processes.
- Coordinate with strategic sourcing to ensure that systems are planned and delivered at the appropriate stage of projects.
Innovation and Roadmap Development
- Monitor advancements in wireless intrusion detection, analytics, spectrum monitoring, and counter-surveillance technologies—validating emerging solutions via GPS test labs.
- Integrate Wireless Intrusion Detection systems into existing workflows, process and the intentional physical security software ecosystem
- Provide subject matter input on technical due diligence for new vendor or product selection and drive proof-of-concept engagements for next-generation WIDS and counter-surveillance solutions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & KEY COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Security, or relevant technical field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of technical program or product management experience in physical security, wireless networking, cloud infrastructure, or industrial security, with direct experience deploying or managing WIDS and/or counter-surveillance technologies at scale.
- In-depth knowledge of WIDS platforms (such as Bastille, AirMagnet, or similar), spectrum analysis, wireless threat analytics, and chain-of-custody requirements for technical security investigations.
- Proven ability to document and communicate standards, create technical policies, and develop process improvement plans in a global enterprise context.
- Excellent oral/written communication and presentation skills; proven success in delivering technical education and enablement across mixed-skill audiences.
- Strong project management skills; ability to balance technical depth with strategic objectives and drive multi-site, multi-team initiatives to successful outcomes.
- Collaborative mindset—success working with engineering, security, business stakeholders, external integrators, and cross-regional teams.
- Strong knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and industry standards for wireless monitoring.
- Ability to balance technical, business, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- TSCM (Technical Surveillance Countermeasures) and TEMPEST operational experience is required.
