Job Description
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) provides the foundation for Oracle’s next-generation cloud services—empowering developers and enterprises to build, deploy, and scale applications securely and efficiently. OCI delivers the high performance, reliability, and scalability required by the world’s most demanding workloads, supporting Oracle’s global cloud strategy and driving innovation across industries.
The OCI Source Code Management (SCM) Platform team builds the core developer platform that powers collaboration, CI/CD, and large-scale software delivery across all of OCI engineering. As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff, you will lead the architecture, development, and operations of distributed systems that underpin Oracle’s CI/CD pipelines and artifact repositories. You will drive platform scalability, reliability, and developer productivity, while owning end-to-end service operations—including participation in on-call rotations. This role combines deep technical leadership with hands-on engineering to simplify workflows, enhance automation and observability, and accelerate how OCI developers build, test, and release software globally.
Responsibilities
You will play a key leadership role in evolving OCI’s Source Code Management (SCM) Platform — the foundation enabling all OCI engineering teams to collaborate, build, and deploy software at scale. This role combines architecture, hands-on development, and operational ownership, driving improvements in CI/CD efficiency, developer productivity, and overall service reliability.
- Lead the design and development of distributed, highly available SCM and CI/CD platform services.
- Architect scalable solutions that simplify developer workflows and reduce code-to-deploy latency.
- Drive operational excellence by improving on-call processes, automation, and system efficiency.
- Own end-to-end service lifecycle — from design and deployment to monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Establish best practices for observability, fault tolerance, and proactive capacity management.
- Collaborate with DevOps, Developer Productivity, and Infrastructure teams to deliver integrated solutions across OCI.
- Mentor engineers, conduct design reviews, and provide technical direction across multiple projects.
- Use data-driven insights to enhance performance, scalability, and developer experience.
- Partner with product managers and leadership to define roadmaps aligned with OCI’s engineering vision.
