Job Description
As an OCI GoldenGate SME, you will serve as the technical authority for solutions involving Oracle GoldenGate on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure. You will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of complex data replication, migration, and streaming projects that enable robust, real-time data flows across heterogeneous and hybrid cloud environments. You will collaborate with IT leadership, solution architects, application owners, and data engineers to ensure the highest levels of data availability, integrity, and performance for mission-critical systems.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, deployment, and administration of OCI GoldenGate solutions for real-time data integration, migration, and replication.
- Architect end-to-end data replication workflows to support business continuity, analytics, and cloud modernization efforts.
- Manage GoldenGate configurations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in Cloud and hybrid environments.
- Guide teams on best practices for secure, scalable, and compliant data movement within OCI and from on-premises to OCI.
- Collaborate with developers, architects, DBAs, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure successful delivery.
- Mentor internal staff on OCI, GoldenGate, and data integration concepts; provide technical workshops or knowledge sharing as required.
- Stay current with new OCI and GoldenGate capabilities, releases, and industry trends to recommend improvements.
- Document architectures, procedures, and configurations to enable operational excellence and knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience) and 10+ years of industry experience including Oracle Products.
- Proven hands-on expertise with OCI GoldenGate; deep knowledge of GoldenGate architecture, configuration, administration, and troubleshooting.
- Strong experience deploying, managing, and optimizing solutions within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
- Solid experience migrating, integrating, or replicating data from on-premises to cloud using GoldenGate.
- Proficiency in Oracle databases and familiarity with other common database technologies (e.g., MS SQL Server, MySQL).
- Working knowledge of OCI services: Compute, Networking, Storage, Identity & Access Management, and Monitoring.
- Familiarity with security, encryption, and compliance best practices in cloud environments.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and team collaboration skills.
- Oracle certifications (e.g., OCI Architect, GoldenGate Specialist) are a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DevOps tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.) for OCI deployments.
- Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid cloud scenarios.
- Hands-on scripting skills (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Experience in financial services, healthcare, or other regulated industries.
Location: Remote role based in VA or surrounding states with 25% customer travel.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $38.03 to $76.06 per hour; from: $79,100 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
