Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Software Manager to lead development and innovation for the Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Platform, which provides mission critical applications and solutions to improve, protect, and secure clinical data, infrastructure, and workflows.
Your Role:
In this key leadership role, you will oversee the technical strategy, architectural design, and operational efficiency of the BCDR platform—enabling scalable, secure, and compliant solutions that minimize data loss, improve operational efficiency, and improve clinical outcomes. You will be leading a team of talented engineers across US and India to design and build innovative products leveraging cloud technologies (OCI), microservice architectures, data replication tools like GoldenGate and Dataguard, and generative AI capabilities. You will work collaboratively with engineering, product, operations, and compliance teams to deliver robust platform capabilities supporting a growing ecosystem of AI-powered clinical solutions. You will also be a representative for the team/products to leadership, external stakeholders, and other product, platform, and service teams.
Responsibilities
As a senior engineering manager at Oracle Health, you will apply your knowledge of software architecture and operational workflows to manage software development tasks associated with designing, developing, or troubleshooting clinical applications, data replication workflows, analytics platforms, and cloud-enabled datastores.
- Lead, support, and grow teams of 10+ engineers across multiple locations (US and India) being responsible for overall team performance and results
- Develop and implement technical strategies for EHR product development using cloud technologies (OCI), microservice architectures, data replication tools like GoldenGate and Dataguard, and generative AI capabilities
- Own full project lifecycles — including planning, coordination, execution, customer deployments, and ongoing observability
- Manage escalation and issue resolution for internal or external clients and stakeholders
- Drive engineering excellence, ensuring high-quality products that meet industry standards
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders, including product management, operations, and analytics teams
- Prioritize and manage project workflows, ensuring timely delivery and meeting business objectives
- Develop individual and team performance goals, promoting growth and career development
- Ensure effective communication and knowledge sharing across teams and locations
- Advocate for an efficient development environment, set expectations and drive continuous improvement and high-quality code
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies, applying this knowledge to improve our products and services
- Bring prior experience in managing large teams and developing software products in the healthcare domain
Minimum Qualifications
- BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 7+ years of experience developing with programming languages such as Java, Python or similar
- 5+ years of experience in people management or leadership role while working on cross-functional projects.
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing large-scale distributed systems, services, and infrastructure.
- Strong knowledge of software development, agile methodologies, and distributed systems fundamentals.
- Strong understanding of database-related workflows and management
- Strong communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience developing in UNIX environments using shell scripting
- Experience in database development including SQL, PL/SQL and Oracle database management.
- Good understanding of data replication technologies like Oracle GoldenGate, Oracle DataGuard etc.
- Good understanding of cloud technologies and services like OCI

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $107,100 to $251,600 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
