Job Description

This role requires exceptional operational discipline, calm under pressure, and a demonstrated ability to lead at executive levels. You will be a visible leader across internal and external stakeholders, shaping and executing Oracle’s response to cybersecurity threats and incidents at scale.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Incident & Crisis Management Leadership

• Lead Oracle's enterprise-wide incident response process across federated teams and Lines of Business (LOBs), including coordination with OCI shared services, global product units, and legal and comms stakeholders.

• Serve as executive incident commander for major or customer-impacting incidents, ensuring rapid triage, consistent narrative, and decisive response actions.

• Drive continuous improvement of Oracle’s Incident Response Framework (IRF), including integration of third-party validation, legal eDiscovery readiness, and attestation workflows.

• Define and maintain incident severity levels, escalation thresholds, and LOB-aligned response protocols.

Program Ownership

• Build and mature the global incident response program, including people, process, and tooling strategy.

• Lead development of playbooks, simulations, and tabletop exercises to ensure preparedness across internal teams and executive stakeholders.

• Manage incident response staffing, on-call rotations, training, and performance.

• Oversee incident metrics, after-action reviews, and post-incident reporting to executives and regulators.

Executive & Customer Engagement

• Serve as a key spokesperson and responder during customer-impacting incidents, working closely with Security Communications and Customer Trust teams.

• Support regulatory engagement and customer assurance functions by delivering incident summaries, attestation letters, and briefings.

• Coordinate with the Customer Trust team to translate incident learnings into forward-facing customer trust content and transparency artifacts.

Other Responsibilities

• Act as delegate and strategic deputy to the head of the ICC.

• Represent the ICC in internal councils, leadership meetings, and escalations when needed.

• Assist in driving the broader ICC strategy across trust, response, and communications pillars.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in cybersecurity with 5+ in incident response or cyber crisis leadership roles.

• Proven success operating in a federated, matrixed enterprise environment at scale.

• Deep understanding of cloud security, regulatory environments, and global privacy and breach notification laws.

• Calm, strategic communicator capable of working directly with senior executives, legal, communications, regulators, and customers under pressure.

• Experience with enterprise IR tools, SOAR platforms, and major cloud provider ecosystems (OCI, AWS, Azure, GCP).

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
