The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) team can provide you the opportunity to build and operate a suite of massive scale, integrated cloud services in a broadly distributed, multi-tenant cloud environment. This position will be instrumental in building software that will help secure Oracle internal and customer workloads at scale. Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement low-level, performance-critical software using modern C++ standards that will help secure Oracle cloud workloads at scale
- Develop, test, and maintain software for system observability, network monitoring, performance analysis, and security enforcement.
- Work extensively with OS kernel internals, including the networking stack, process scheduling, and memory management, to build and troubleshoot cutting-edge systems across Linux and Windows Operating systems
- Optimize system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing efficient solutions, using profiling and debugging tools
- Leverage advanced features of the C++ STL, including containers, algorithms, and smart pointers, to write clean, maintainable, and high-performance code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management and other engineers, to define requirements and deliver robust, scalable solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, from architecture and design to deployment and post-deployment support.
- Ensure code quality by conducting code reviews, writing comprehensive tests, and documenting designs.
Minimum qualifications:
- BS or MS degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum 8+ years in a software-engineering related position, at least half of which was in an Agile/DevOps environment
- 8+ years of C++ Development with OS Kernel Internals across Linux and Windows
- Experience with Golang is a plus
- Strong knowledge of microservices, data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems.
- Solid understanding of relational databases, storage, and distributed persistence
- Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $96,800 to $223,400 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
