Job Description

The Office of the CSO team needs a highly talented Principal Technical Program Manager to drive strategic Oracle/OCI wide technical security and business initiatives. This person will play a critical role as one of the senior members of the program management team delivering holistic business operations and program management services to an organization that supports cybersecurity across all of Oracle.

This high-visibility and high-impact role will help shape the path and success of Oracle’s Security and Compliance and enable growth and efficiencies across the overall organization to help elevate the company’s security posture. The role requires a high degree of personal accountability and autonomy and requires effective engagement with cross-organizational functions to deliver results.

The ideal candidate brings expertise in business operations within a technology-driven environment, strong program management skills, and a proven ability to execute high-impact initiatives. Strong senior leadership communication, stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and business analytics capabilities are essential to thrive in this role.

Must be a self-starter, have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment. Candidate must have a strong work ethic and be flexible and adaptable to respond to customer and mission critical needs as they arise.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Program Leadership: Own and drive large-scale global cybersecurity initiatives, ensuring alignment with business strategy, prioritization of high-impact projects, and optimal resource utilization for delivery within defined timelines.
  • Outcome-Focused Metrics & Performance Management: Establish and refine value-driven metrics and KPIs to measure security program effectiveness; champion a culture of continuous improvement and transparency through actionable business impact reporting.
  • Process Transformation & Optimization: Design, implement, and evolve scalable, secure business processes—leveraging best practices and automation—to improve efficiency, drive standardization, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulations.
  • Business Operations: Lead key business operations such as workforce planning, metrics generation, and the development of senior leadership level reports on KPIs and OKRs that enable informed decision-making.
  • Data Analytics & Insights: Apply analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python) to interpret large datasets, identify threats or opportunities, and influence leadership with data-driven recommendations.
  • Senior Leadership Stakeholder Engagement: Build and manage robust relationships with cross-functional leaders and senior stakeholders to champion cybersecurity priorities and align initiatives with organizational objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Communication: Facilitate clear and influential communication across diverse teams, ensuring alignment on goals and consistent, timely updates on program progress or risks.
  • Senior Leadership Level Reporting & Presentations: Deliver high-impact reports, dashboards, and presentations tailored for senior audiences, highlighting strategic insights and clear recommendations.
  • Strategic Planning & Delivery: Lead the planning, road mapping, and execution of complex security programs, effectively balancing long-term vision with tactical execution to meet evolving business needs.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate program-level risks and issues; drive the swift resolution of challenges that could impact cybersecurity or business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Organizational Agility: Foster an agile mindset and a culture of iteration, continuously refining processes and practices to improve efficiency, scalability, and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge Management & Enablement: Maintain a comprehensive repository of documentation, process templates, and operational artifacts to drive best practices and knowledge sharing across the organization.
  • Security Program Oversight & Governance: Provide oversight across multiple security workstreams, ensuring continuous alignment with organizational security objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
  • Creative Problem Solving & Thought Leadership: Use data-driven methodologies and critical thinking to devise innovative solutions to complex business and technical challenges within the security domain.
  • AI & Emerging Technology Enablement: Lead or support initiatives advancing AI and emerging technologies to streamline security operations, generate insights, and proactively address cybersecurity risks.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $97,500 to $199,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
