Patient Safety Project Manager (Healthcare IT)

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Patient Safety Project Manager to ensure patient safety issues are managed promptly, prioritized appropriately, and fully integrated with our standard support processes. This role involves close collaboration with both client stakeholders and internal Oracle Health teams to guarantee that all patient safety issues identified post go-live are resolved in aligned process flows and within the scope of Oracle Health support.

Responsibilities

Patient Safety Oversight:
Serve as the primary point of contact for patient safety issues, ensuring prompt identification, documentation, and tracking.
Oversee the full lifecycle of patient safety incidents from initial report through to resolution and closure.
Prioritization & Escalation:
Evaluate and prioritize patient safety issues based on severity, potential impact, and client needs.
Escalate high-priority or critical events as per protocols to expedite resolution and mitigate risk.
Adherence to Standard Processes:
Ensure all patient safety issues are managed according to Oracle Health’s standardized support and incident management procedures.
Conduct regular audits to confirm post go-live processes are observed and remain within scope and patient safety issues are identified.
Collaboration & Communication:
Act as liaison between the client and Oracle Health support teams, facilitating clear, timely communication and resolution planning.
Participate in incident reviews, leading or supporting root cause analysis and reporting findings to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify trends in patient safety incidents and recommend preventative solutions or process enhancements.
Develop and deliver regular updates, summary reports, and best practice recommendations to clients and internal teams.

Qualifications

Experience:
5+ years in healthcare project management, clinical safety, or a related field, with deep familiarity in electronic health record systems.
Demonstrated experience managing safety, quality, or risk issues in a clinical/IT environment.
Skills:
Strong understanding of healthcare safety standards, regulatory requirements, and incident management best practices.
Excellent prioritization, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to work effectively both independently and in cross-functional teams.
Certifications (preferred):
PMP, CPHQ, CPPS, or other relevant safety/clinical project management certification.
Familiarity/certification with Cerner Millennium or similar EHR platforms.

You champion patient safety by ensuring every safety issue is managed rigorously, escalated appropriately, and resolved according to best practice of post go-live support, helping Oracle Health and its clients deliver safer care and continuously improve outcomes.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $71,200 to $158,200 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
