Job Description
Oracle is looking for a Permitting and Licensing Presales Consultant to provide functional support to prospective Public Sector clients and customers. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rd party complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality functional, professional client relationships.
Overview:
- It is a full-time strategic presales engineering role working with Permitting and Licensing decision makers and users who are evaluating various Oracle solutions for their technology needs.
- The right person will be able to effectively speak and engage with potential customers regarding business challenges to recommend Oracle’s Permitting and Licensing Cloud based solutions.
As an Oracle Solutions Engineer you will partner directly with the sales team to strategize, present and sell Oracle Permitting and Licensing Cloud solutions to the client. This is not a quota carrying sales role and does not involve any outbound or inbound sales prospecting; however, it does involve the ability to influence decision makers regarding their business applications, and the ability to act as an Oracle advocate during client interactions.

Responsibilities
Provides direction and specialist knowledge in applying the technology/application to client business. Facilitation of customer product/application understanding through presentations demonstrations and benchmarks; provision of support throughout the sell. As a Principal Solution Engineer, you will be responsible for providing presales technical / functional support to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction with minimal supervision. Acts as a functional resource for less experienced Solution Engineers, act as a lead in various business needs such as RFP Responses, configuration of demonstration environments, and various other projects. Develop and deliver high quality standard Oracle presentations and demonstrations.
Present and articulate advanced product features and benefits, product future direction and overall Oracle solutions. Design, validate, and present Oracle software solutions to include advanced product concepts, future direction, and 3rdparty complimentary products. Develop and manage reference sites through high quality technical, professional client relationships.
Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 7+ years vendor (sales and marketing) or industry experience. 5+ years relevant computer applications or database/tools. Demonstrated proficiency in one multi-user operating system. Through knowledge of system and application design. Strong verbal and written communication skills needs analysis, positioning, business justification, closing techniques. Demonstrated ability to solve complex technical problems with accounts in complex technical environments. Ability to travel as needed. BS degree or equivalent; advanced degree desirable.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only
US: Hiring Range in USD from $45.43 to $85.63 per hour; from: $94,500 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
