Job Description
The Role:
We are seeking a Cloud Solution Architect who will be required to design, document, and articulate the technical requirements for clients who are migrating their premise-based workload to SaaS Cloud. This includes undertaking detailed planning and documentation around the customer's existing, transition, and final cloud Architectures, understanding client data flow needs, integrations, and security requirements which are then documented for execution by the cloud delivery team.
This position will support the Sales effort as they work with clients to develop cloud adoption plans, oversee cloud migration, and create systems for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the cloud system. The successful applicant will be comfortable managing complex conversations with client Senior IT resources and acting as the trusted technical advisor during the technical pre-sales process.
Key Responsibilities:
Cloud Adoption:
Evaluate an organization's readiness for cloud adoption, taking into account their Geographic locations and available products needed to ensure a smooth transition, also providing the technical expertise for RFI/RFP completion
Strategic Planning:
Collaborate with stakeholders on the client side and within the Oracle business to ensure the client's technical and security requirements are met with the proposed cloud SaaS solution, undertake detailed discovery of the client interface estate and integration use, including data flows, maintaining documentation accordingly.
Cloud Architecture:
Design the overall architecture of the cloud system using Oracle Hospitality SaaS products, considering Access/Identity, connectivity/Network, Application needs, data flow into and out of the cloud SaaS platform, and security requirements, ensuring this aligns with their business/security/Application needs.
Consulting:
Provide guidance and support to stakeholders on cloud-related matters, acting as a subject matter expert.
Essential Skills:
- Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies (e.g., IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, public cloud, private cloud, hybrid cloud, network connectivity, Identity).
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Knowledge of networking, security, and Web Application technologies
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical designs.
Education and Experience:
Knowledge of Hospitality technology would be highly regarded.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is required.
Experience/certification with public cloud technologies, architecture, and implementation is highly regarded.
(e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert) can enhance qualifications.
Responsibilities
As a Principal Sales Consultant you will be responsible as the expert for formulating and leading presales technical / functional support activity to prospective clients and customers while ensuring customer satisfaction. Acts as a technical resource and mentor for less experienced Sales Consultants. Focuses on large or complex sales opportunities that need creative and complex solutions. Develops productivity tools and training for other Sales Consultants. Develops and delivers outstanding Oracle presentations and demonstrations. Leads any and all aspects of the technical sales process. Advises internal and external clients on overall architect solutions.

US: Hiring Range in USD from $45.43 to $85.63 per hour; from: $94,500 to $178,100 per annum. May be eligible for equity. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 65/35 - 80/20.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
