As a Distinguished Product Manager on the Mission-Critical Data and AI Engines team, you will perform a vital role by defining product requirements for AI-centric functionality, working closely with Engineering to build product roadmaps and prioritization, setting product messaging, and ensuring that our offerings delight customers and differentiate from competitors.

This role performs several different functions:

  1. Defines highly differentiated capabilities and use cases that will be used by some of the world's largest, most demanding Enterprises.
  2. Acts as the primary source of business and technical enablement, ensuring that technical collateral is generated that enables future solution implementations.
  3. Engage with customers to understand their requirements and then feed that back to the engineering team.

To accomplish this range of functions, a Distinguished Product Manager needs to have a broad skillset:

  1. Deep technical background in database technologies and the SQL language
  2. Foundational understanding of similarity search, text search, Agentic AI, and Large Language models
  3. Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written. This also extends to communicating with both technical and business audiences with equal skill
  4. A passion for evangelizing new technologies and educating our user base
  5. Business acumen in the context of understanding business pressures that customers face in making technical decisions, and the impact of product decisions on Oracle technologies
  6. Thrive and succeed in an innovative and fast-paced environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or conflicting priorities

Responsibilities

The Distinguished Product Manager role will interact with development teams and help shape the direction and priorities of Oracle Database AI-centric functionality. They must be able to understand and communicate the advantages of utilizing Oracle Database AI solutions, guide the creation of innovative technical solutions based on customer needs, and evangelize those solutions through blogs, videos, LiveLabs, etc.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $139,400 to $291,800 per annum. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
