The Role

The Leader of New Business Sales will be responsible for developing and executing a strategic sales plan to drive the growth of our Automotive DMS solutions in the North American market. This role requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in new business development.

What You’ll Do

Strategic Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to penetrate new markets and grow the customer base for Automotive DMS solutions.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to align sales strategies with overall company goals and objectives.

Team Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team focused on new business acquisition.
  • Set clear performance expectations, provide ongoing coaching, and conduct regular performance reviews.

Market Analysis:

  • Conduct market research to identify emerging trends, competitive landscape, and customer needs within the automotive sector.
  • Utilize insights to inform sales strategies and product positioning.

Sales Execution:

  • Drive the sales process from prospecting to closing, ensuring a high conversion rate of leads to customers.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at automotive dealerships and related organizations.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer success teams to ensure alignment in messaging and offerings.
  • Collaborate with partners and industry associations to enhance visibility and outreach.

· Reporting and Metrics:

  • Monitor sales performance metrics and prepare regular reports for executive leadership.
  • Use data-driven insights to refine sales strategies and improve overall performance.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in sales leadership, preferably in the automotive technology or software industry.
  • Proven track record of driving new business sales and achieving revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of Automotive DMS systems and the automotive dealership landscape.
  • Exceptional leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze market trends and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
